For the people who keep our grocery stores stocked, care for patients, prepare food, and keep essential services running, having a voice at work matters. UFCW 3000 represents more than 50,000 workers across Washington, northern Idaho, and Oregon, organizing for better workplaces and for economic, political, and social justice in their communities.

When workers organize, the impact doesn't stop at the workplace. The IAF Pacific Regional Organizing Training brought UFCW 3000 leaders together with faith, nonprofit, and community leaders to sharpen their organizing skills and explore how people can build enough collective power to create change far beyond their own institutions.

Health is shaped by more than what happens in a doctor's office. Health Equity Circle brings students and community partners together to examine the conditions that shape people's health, including housing, access to resources, and other factors that affect how people live and thrive.

At Regional Training, Health Equity Circle leaders stepped into a room with people working on very different community issues and explored how organizing can connect those experiences. Their participation brought a health equity perspective to the training and added another voice to the growing network of Spokane leaders learning how to build stronger communities together.

The Spokane Alliance is proud to endorse the No 645 campaign. Repealing the Millionaires Tax would put funding for education, health care and child care at risk, while also affecting tax relief for working families and small businesses.

We believe Spokane and Eastern Washington voices should be part of this important statewide conversation.

Westminster United Church of Christ has been part of the Spokane community for more than a century, bringing people together through faith, service, and a commitment to justice. Through community partnerships, Westminster works to advance social justice, care for creation, and equity for everyone.

This year, Spokane Alliance trained leaders from Westminster at Regional Training and Foundations of Community Organizing, strengthening their congregational development and community organizing skills alongside leaders from across the Pacific region.

MiA - Mujeres in Action supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in a culturally responsive way. Through advocacy, leadership development, cultural connection, and support for immigrant communities, MiA works to build a community where everyone has a voice.

Good things happen when people who know their communities best have the tools and relationships to lead change. At the IAF Pacific Regional Organizing Training, Mujeres in Action leaders strengthened their organizing skills alongside leaders from across the Pacific region.

A child’s first experiences with learning can shape how they see themselves, their community, and their future. Parkview Early Learning Center provides early learning and care for young children while supporting families during these important early years.

Parkview brought its experience working with young children and families to the IAF Pacific Regional Organizing Training, where leaders strengthened their community organizing skills and learned alongside leaders from across the region.

Last night, 100 people came together to talk about what it will take to build more affordable housing in Spokane.

Housing developers and builders, nonprofits, teachers, construction workers, people of faith, community leaders, public officials, and more gathered to learn about new tools for using our public assets to create affordable housing.

This is what it looks like when we bring people together to ask bigger questions about what’s possible.
