Spokane Lilac Festival Honoring Our Military, Empowering Our Youth, Showcasing Our Region To learn more about the SLFA visit www.spokanelilacfestival.org.

Spokane Lilac Festival Association (SLFA) is a 501c3 nonprofit community organization established in 1938 by the Associated Garden Club of Spokane. Following the end of World War Two, what had been a loosely organized group of enthusiasts gathered to officially form the Spokane Lilac Festival Association, launching in 1946 and continuing to this day. Each May the SLFA hosts communities from across the Pacific Northwest for the annual Lilac Festival culminating in the nation’s largest Armed Forces Torchlight Parade on Armed Forces Day. SLFA Directors and the Royal Court of seven high school seniors selected from among Spokane County’s 31 area high schools travel across the northwest each summer with the festival float, serving as ambassadors of Spokane to the region and beyond.

Princess Simone has been loving her time at the University of Washington! She has made the best friends through her new sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and has loved exploring Seattle and the UW area. She has spent her time forming new friendships, doing readings and homework for her classes, and participating in new clubs and activities! She is looking forward to more football games, her sorority's philanthropy week, and working hard to succeed in her classes.

Aloha! Princess Naliesha is off to a great start to her first year at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa! She has loved exploring O'ahu's beautiful beaches and hiking trails, spending time with friends, and cheering on UH volleyball and football teams. Between classes and studying, she also enjoys staying active and making the most of everything island life has to offer. She looks forward to continuing to make memories, discovering new places around the island, getting involved in more campus activities, and growing both academically and personally throughout her college journey!

Let's check in with our 2026 Lilac Royalty and see how they are doing!

Queen Hayden has had an exciting start to her first year at Washington State University! She has loved joining Alpha Phi, where she has met so many inspiring women, including one of her closest friends, Miss Washington's Teen! She has also enjoyed supporting Alpha Phi's philanthropy through raising awareness and funds for women's heart health. When she isn't busy with the Honors College, Hayden loves cheering on the Cougs at Saturday football games. She is looking forward to getting even more involved on campus and making the most of the next four years at WSU. Go Cougs!

🧡 **Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day** 🧡

Today, the Spokane Lilac Festival honors the history, cultures, traditions, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples throughout our region and across the country.

We are especially grateful to the **Spokane Tribe of Indians** and the many Tribal Nations whose deep connections to this land continue to shape the culture, strength, and story of our region.

May today be an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate the Indigenous communities who have called this land home since time immemorial.

When you’re Lilac Royalty, your purse isn’t just a purse…it’s basically an emergency preparedness kit with lip gloss. 😂👑

The essentials:
💜 Lip gloss — obviously.
💜 Snacks — parade days are LONG.
💜 Band-Aids — cute shoes sometimes fight back.
💜 Mints — lots of smiling and talking!
💜 Hand sanitizer — so. many. handshakes.
💜 Tissues — because happy tears happen.
💜 Sunglasses — royalty has to look fabulous.
💜 A phone — if there aren’t pictures, did the event even happen?
