Spokane Arts is requesting qualifications from designers interested in creating designs for several High Performance Transit (HPT) Lines including Sprague, Monroe/Regal and others.
All designs should be welcoming to all audiences and create inviting destinations for citizens, neighbors, visitors and users of the HPT Lines. AI may not be used. No images or depictions of real persons or corporate insignias, logos, and trademarks are allowed, as these might require permission to use.
Four artists will be selected for designs to be implemented over 5 years. Each selected artist will be assigned to one line and create 3 to 5 designs to be used on that route. The designs will be in designated colors and will be harmonious along the line. Designs will be harmonious with the other HPT lines and the STA brand. The STA will provide a template and measurements for the objects to be wrapped. There are several styles of electrical and communications boxes.
Artists may be asked for additional use of their images for publicity purposes with attribution to the artist. These designs will be purchased for unlimited use for the purpose of wrapping utility boxes at STA facilities along the agreed upon bus lines. Any other use will require an additional agreement between the STA and the artist.
