Spokane Arts is teaming up with the City of Spokane's traffic calming program to find a local artist to create an artistic design for a crosswalk in Garland at the intersection of Garland and Post.
This is a design only opportunity (no crawling around in the road painting!) and the chosen artist will be awarded $1,000 for their work.

Mark your calendars for June’s first Friday exhibit at Chase Gallery with and .joy.art 06/05/26. Beneath The Open Sky: Landscapes by Jami Rose Lord and Abby Joy immerses you in beautiful waves of color, shifting light, and moments of stillness. This is a free, all ages event so bring the family. The Chase gallery is located on the bottom floor of City Hall and will take place from 5pm to 8pm.

Deadline for TWO Calls - June 5

The City of Liberty Lake is renovating a building for its new city hall building. At this time, the Liberty Lake Parks and Arts Commission is seeking artists for the new facility. The theme for works is “Past, Present, and Future: The Story of Liberty Lake.” The call is open to artists from the region.

Commissioned Art Works:

Spokane Arts and Liberty Lake seek to commission paintings, mixed media or relief sculptures for the front foyer area. These could be created by one artist or more than one artist for the entry lobby of the building. At this time, artists are asked to submit a request for qualification for a project budget that will be up to $20,000.

Portable works:

Spokane Arts and Liberty Lake seek to purchase original, unframed two-dimensional artworks (including photographs, drawings, paintings, prints, mixed media, etc.). Variety within the collection is highly encouraged and a broad range of styles and approaches will be considered. Artists should submit works that incorporate color as well as themes and imagery suitable for public settings and culturally diverse audiences.

Artists wishing to be considered for this opportunity should submit up to 3 images of works currently available for purchase. All artworks are expected to be original artworks. Use of other artists copyrighted imagery, or AI is prohibited for this project.

About the Role
Join the team behind the scenes at Spartan Theatre! SFCC seeks a Lead Scenic Carpenter to lead scenic construction, installation, and strike for productions and events while working collaboratively with faculty, artists, and students in a supportive, hands-on learning environment focused on safety and professional practice.

Responsibilities:
Lead scenic builds, supervise students, maintain a safe shop, and support productions.

Qualifications:
1+ year scenic/technical theatre experience; strong safety and tool knowledge; able to read drawings, lift 50 lbs., work at heights, and maintain schedule flexibility.

Benefits
