A highlight of our Club meeting is always De Calvert’s “word of the day.” Today we learned the word snatiation. Thanks for making us a little bit smarter…

Don Williams, community relations director for Jumpstart Ministry in Welford , inspired Club members with a story of success for this post-prison ministry. The Club responded with a donation of interview clothing for participants. Thank you to Susan Willis Dunlap, Jan Mccray Coffin, Cyndi Dickens Waters, Frank Rudisill and Jim Kistler for their donations. House manager Myron Miles found a new suit for Jumpstart’s next event!

Club members are hiding from Susan Willis Dunlap on their birthdays for fear of receiving a Squishmallow. But it’s June Bond’s birthday today and she loves her birthday pig❤️

The Club welcomed Mary-Stewart Loring of Petal and Pomp to our meeting this week. We are now experts on wedding floral trends- and all the work that goes on behind the scenes. Thanks to member Marisa Cecil for this fascinating and fun program!

The Kiwanis Club of Spartanburg expresses our deepest sympathy to member Bill Walsh on the passing of his wife, Winnie. Winnie was an integral part of our Kiwanis family - she was a popular guest speaker to our Club and an active participant in all our social events. She nominated Carlos Aguedelo as Citizen of the Year. Winnie demonstrated grace and bravery in her fight against Parkinson's - and set an example for us all. We will miss you, Winnie.
