EMusic Studios Music education, creative media, mentorship, and community impact in Spartanburg, SC. Inspired by the great Venezuelan maestro Jose Antonio Abreu, Mr.

eMusic Studios is a nonprofit music production studio and publishing company founded by Mark L Everett. Everett established the program in 2019 for the disadvantaged youth within his inner-city northside community in Spartanburg, SC, in hopes for social transformation through music.

“Music has to be recognized as an element of socialization because it transmits the highest social values, such as

solidarity, harmony, and mutual compassion” Maestro Jose Antonio Abreu. eMusic Studios has partnered with The City of Spartanburg, Parks and Recreation, and The Spartanburg Academic Movement to bring its “Music Madness” afterschool program to local community centers and schools. The Music Madness program teaches children how to recreate popular music using musical instrumentation.

🎹 Who Don’t? 🎹
When my new friend from Peltzer, South Carolina handed me a watermelon, I joked, “What makes you think I like watermelon?” He laughed and fired back in his Southern drawl: “Who don’t?” 😂 We both cracked up — two men, Black and white, finding common ground in laughter and purpose.

But here’s the heart of it ❤️: he also gave us a Yamaha keyboard to send to Nigeria, where 30 kids are already signed up with a teacher, ready to learn music — but they have no keyboards or laptops. That’s where YOU come in. 🙌
