Dr. Freda V. Dr. Freda Crews was born in Olustee, FL and grew up in Lawtey, FL. She was a graduate of Bradford High School in Starke, FL. Crews.

Crews, D.Min., Ph,D., was the Pastor of Hope For Living Media Church and the Host of Time For Hope TV, until she departed for her heavenly home and into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 21, 2022. She was employed at the Bradford County Courthouse where she was assistant to the County Judge, until her marriage to her late husband, Dr. William R. She soon began to travel with her husband, in pursuit of their educations. After Dr. Freda Crews' marriage to her husband, Dr. William Crews, she assisted him with pastoral duties as they pastored churches in several states, and devoted her life to ministry while raising a family. She completed her Master's Degree at North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls, SD. The first woman to graduate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Chicago, IL, she earned a Doctorate of Ministry. Dr. Crews also completed a Doctorate of Philosophy at International University for Graduate Studies in St. Kitts, where she later held the position of Director/Dean of the International University for Graduate Studies School of Christian Counseling. She was ordained at First Baptist Church in West Coral Springs, FL on February 16, 1997. Dr. Crews, along with her husband, founded Bible Study Time, a Spartanburg, SC based non-profit ministry, in 1974 where she held the position of CEO until the time of her passing. Dr. Crews was the Pastor of Hope for Living Media Church, and founder and speaker for the Truth for Living radio program. She was the founder and host of the Time for Hope International Television Ministry, and a member of the National Association of Religious Broadcasters. Dr. Crews was a presidential member of American Association of Christian Counsellors, a Licensed Professional Counsellor, a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor. She wrote and published her book, "Get Off Your Own Back".

"And now, dear children, continue in Him, so that when He appears we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28). This is a loaded small verse. Too many people,: who who have walked the aisle of a church, get baptized then attend regularly, believe they are ok and life can continue as it was. But in this passage the Apostle John is really saying "this is only the beginning." When we are 'birthed' into God's kingdom through His Son, Jesus Christ, we begin as '"babes in Christ." And as babies grow and eventually become adults, we are to grow up and become adults in God's Kingdom through studying His Word and practicing its precepts. In His Word we will find His promises of strength and endurance, as it is not always easy to trust and obey, especially when the trials of life, and the temptations of the flesh badger us as they do and will. To continue in Him we must believe His Word no matter what, and trust Him to get us through whatever the evil one and our flesh brings against us. Knowing that He will soon return, claiming His own, and asking us to give an account, should spur within us the desire to continue in Him as long as we live, and eventually stand before Him unashamed. With His love, grace and strength this can become real for us. Apparently it did for the Apostle John to leave this exhortation for us. Love and prayers.

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him (Nahum 1:7). Should the Creator God have to remind us that He is good? Those of us who truly know Him through His Son, Jesus Christ, have experienced His goodness through the forgiveness of our sins, and have also found Him to be our refuge in times of trouble. And as we get to know Him more and more, we find that He really cares for us as we trust in Him. In other words, what else do you need from Him, but salvation in His Son, and a peaceful and loving relationship with the One Who always keeps His promises to us, and to Whom we can turn to at any time of any day, knowing He will be there for us. But all of this does require that we truly trust Him to be all that He relates He is for us, and believe that He cares for all who trust in Him. What a life to be known in and through Him as we make our journey through it with the hope of eternal life when it is over for us. Praise His holy Name! Love and prayers.

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). This passage is short, but loaded with directions for a life worth living. Do you know what it means to submit yourself to God? It means to surrender yourself to Him to live as He desires you to live; carrying out the purposes and desires He has for you. To do this, you must learn and know that you will have to resist your biggest enemy - the devil - who is real and is bent on having his way and will with you. As long as you go along with him, and your fleshly desires he keeps stirred up within you, he will keep you for himself which will never be for your good. But if you stay connected to the Creator God through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, seeking and following His commands and will for your life, the devil will eventually flee and leave you alone unless he catches you off guard. Which will not happen as long as you make sure, by and through His love and grace, you keep yourself submitted to the eternal God for the strength and knowledge to live as He desires you to live in the here and now, fueled with your hope of eternal life. "The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail" (Isaiah 58:11). This passage has much to draw any and all to the Lord who desire to know and follow Him. It assures us that when our land (nation or country) needs Him; and it does for sure at this time, and our bodies have been stretched and broken with the anxieties and concerns of all that we are being forced to deal with: that He (God) will strengthen and lift us up; and as we continue trusting Him for our every need, we will flourish like a well-watered garden and like a spring whose waters never fail. When I read this passage, I was so stricken with all it promises, that I felt I should share it with those who have already found this to be true when we know and trust the Almighty God, and encourage those who have not surrendered their souls and lives to Him Who has so much to offer us when we have come to know and trust Him through His Son, Who willingly obeyed His Father, and gave His life that we could become one of all who believe and trust Him, no matter what life and the evil one have done to try and destroy us. I encourage you to reread it and praise the Lord God of heaven and earth for the water He provides when we are thirsty and need Him to quench our thirst. We can believe He will be there when we really desire and trust Him. Praise His Name! Love and prayers.

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in you" (Isaiah 26:3). I challenge you to read this short passage, and then think about what you think about most of the time. Of course, you must focus on your work and your other responsibilities; but even then you can be thinking of other things. So, my next question is how much time do you spend thinking about the Lord and His love, goodness and mercy? This passage uses the word "stayed" referring to our mind and the "peace of mind" we desire. And The prophet Isaiah relates: when we trust in the Lord for peace of mind that we at all times remember God's Word and His great promises to be available for us when we are troubled in our minds. And those of us who have found Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will know we can seek the peace of mind that His Father desires to give us when we trust Him to do so. You will note also that Isaiah also uses the word "perfect" when referring to the peace that comes from keeping our minds at all times on God's love and promises of peace no matter our circumstances. We have a great God, and the great gift of His Son, so that we can find the peace we need at all times as we make our journey through this life, with the hope of eternal life with Him. "For...He has granted to us His precious magnificent promises, so that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust" (2 Peter 1:4). Many times through the years I have made it a point to refer to God's precious promises, and they are indeed both precious and magnificent. Have you ever thought about being a partaker of the divine or godly nature? This happens when we become a child of God through Jesus Christ becoming our Lord and Savior, and His spirit moves into our spirit making us a partaker of the divine nature. It is the Spirit of God the Father that enables us to believe His promises, and also to seek His will so that we do not live according to the dictates of our flesh and lust, but according to His Spirit that resides in our spirit, leading, guiding and directing us according to the heavenly Father's will; and also comforting, strengthening and directing us into the paths that will please Him, and bring peace and meaning into our lives. Praise His Name for His Son and His precious promises! Love and prayers.

"You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the (Holy) Spirit of Christ, he/she does not belong to Christ (Romans 8:9). The Apostle Paul could not have made it any plainer than He did in writing to the church at Rome in this passage, and that is when we come to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior the blessed Holy Spirit, Who reveals Christ to us, comes to dwell within the spirit of our minds; thereby living within us. When this is true we will not be controlled by our sinful nature, but by our new nature seeking to please our Heavenly Father's words and commands. In the process we learn of His love, mercy and strength He will provide for us when by faith we trust and obey Him. We can apply all of this to our present life situation as well as our world situation. Let us not forget that Our God is all powerful, and knows all things, which should give us the grace and strength to endure all that He allows to become our experience. He is a great God and able to see us through, but we must trust Him to do so, as well as being a faithful follower of His Son, Jesus Christ. Praise His Name! Love and prayers.

"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life" (1 John 5:11-13). This is a long passage, but very plain and easy to understand. We either have come to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, or we have not. If we have, we will rest in Him for eternal life. But, as we make our way through this life we will seek to serve and please Him. In fact, we will strive to be like Him - striving to please our Heavenly Father, and lead a life worthy of the love He showed and the blood He shed dying on that cross for us. Today, He continues to love us as He sits next to His Father in heaven interceding for us until we join Him and His Father in eternity. What a hope! Love and prayers.

"For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right" (Psalm 84:11). We make the choice of whether or not this passage relates our testimony regarding our relationship with the Lord God of heaven and earth. First, we must believe that He will always be available when we need light to shine through the darkness of any situation we are experiencing, but He wants us to believe this and to call on Him for help and protection from the evil one. When we believe and trust His Word and promises, and practice what is right, then we can know that He will be there for us, and will not withhold any good thing from us. The biggest good thing He desires to give us is the salvation that can be found in His Son, Jesus Christ. With the assurance that we have found Him, and He has become our Lord and Savior, then none of these good things will be withheld from us. Believe and trust Him for your need today as you practice doing what is right. Love and prayers.
