FIANV is a nonpartisan, multi-faith organization that uses grassroots organizing to engage people of faith in the work of building a more just and equitable Nevada. We engage with faith communities and their members to build power and create systemic change in Nevada. Our work emphasizes the connection with people of color, low-income communities, and the politically disenfranchised. We work with
leaders within faith communities and people of goodwill to create change throughout the state of Nevada. We believe that people closest to the problems have the best solutions so we develop leaders within their own communities to choose the direction of our work, influence decision-makers, engage civically and create structural policy change. As people of faith and goodwill, we have hope and a vision for a world that is rooted in love, justice, equity, and abundance. 2020 showed us the increased need for our organization and others to put their faith into action. People of faith showed up all over the country for racial justice, economic justice, and a strong, inclusive democracy. As FIANV, we will build on this work for a better future for the state of Nevada. FIANV is a federation of Faith in Action’s national network and was founded in 2011 as ACTIONN to organize communities of faith in Northern Nevada. FIANV is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan organization.
