Here’s something!

Miller Industries, the world’s largest maker of towing and recovery equipment, announced plans to lay off about 150 employees across three facilities.

The company says the cuts are due to lower demand tied to tariffs, rising interest rates, and higher ownership costs. CEO William G. Miller II called the move “an incredibly difficult decision,” saying the company will provide financial and benefits assistance to affected workers.

Last quarter, Miller reported a 20% drop in retail sales and a 30% decline in order intakes. Despite reporting $1.26 billion in revenue last year, the company expects continued challenges in 2025. https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2025/aug/14/ooltewah-towing-giant-miller-industries-lays-off/
