⚙️ Build your own miniature worlds this summer at SBMA! 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬.

In this six-week class, you'll explore sculpture through hands-on experimentation with materials, design, and creative problem-solving. The heart of it is the maquette—a small-scale model.

You'll learn how sculptors develop ideas through sketching, planning, and building in miniature before creating larger works.

Using found and recycled materials, you'll create an original sculpture all your own while exploring personal expression and three-dimensional art making in a welcoming, approachable space.

Taught by new SBMA instructor Ben Lipinski.

We’re so grateful to our friends at The History Museum for hosting the 2026 Arts in Bloom Garden Walk in their historic Oliver Gardens.

Presented by The Art League in support of the South Bend Museum of Art, this special event brings together beautiful private gardens, local history, music, and community — all in celebration of art in bloom.

We are excited to be the hosts of the 2026 Arts in Bloom Garden Walk! Presented by The Art League in support of the South Bend Museum of Art, the Arts in Bloom Garden Walk is a chance to see some of South Bend's most beautiful private gardens. The walk will start in our very own historic Oliver Gardens!

During the event, our volunteer gardeners will be available for any questions about the Oliver gardens and historic photos will be out for display. Additionally, background music will play in the Oliver Gardens during the walk to help set the mood!

✨ Let the light in — literally!

Learn the art of stained glass with local artist Nancy Jackson in our Stained Glass Suncatcher Workshop!

Using the copper foil technique, you'll craft a gorgeous green monstera leaf suncatcher to hang in your home. No experience needed. All the glass is pre-cut and ready for you to foil and solder into something beautiful.
