A Place to Begin Again

We are reaching out to our amazing community to see if anyone has gently used smartphones they would be willing to donate to a few new residents at The Upper Room Recovery Community.

Having a phone can make a huge difference in early recovery — helping residents stay connected to employers, family, sponsors, recovery meetings, case managers, and important appointments.

The phones do not need to be brand new, just functional and able to connect to WiFi. Chargers are appreciated too!

🇺🇸 Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on sacrifice, courage, and freedom.

At The Upper Room Recovery Community, we are deeply grateful for those who served and for the families who carry their memory forward. We also recognize the many veterans in recovery who continue to fight battles long after returning home.

✨ BIG NEWS FOR OUR COMMUNITY ✨

The Upper Room Recovery Community has been awarded a matching grant for our new Pathway 25 Program — a program designed to help justice-impacted young adults ages 18–25 find recovery, stability, purpose, and a real second chance.

But here’s the important part:
💥 We must raise matching funds to unlock the full grant amount. 💥

That means every donation made by our community helps us move one step closer to expanding life-changing services for young adults who are fighting to rebuild their lives after addiction, incarceration, trauma, and homelessness.

At The Upper Room, we see the stories behind the struggles.

Last night, we had the honor of hosting a table at the Story Tour, and what an incredible evening it was. 💚

We were able to connect with so many amazing people, share the mission of The Upper Room Recovery Community, and talk about the hope, healing, and transformation happening every single day within our programs.

Events like this remind us that stories matter. Recovery matters. Community matters.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, shared encouragement, and supported the work we are doing in South Bend. Every conversation helps break stigma and build stronger pathways to recovery.
