Willow Creek Care Center It is a Willow Creek Community Church ministry. Guests may come twice per month for groceries. Guests may also visit once per week for bread.

Each year, Willow staff and volunteers take a week to rest and recharge. The Care Center will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 30 to Saturday, July 4. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, July 7.

Our garden group is off to a great start for the summer! Their first project was to beautify the garden entrance by adding flowers. Last Saturday, the team helped plant three types of peppers, tomatoes, and basil.

We would love some extra hands to help tend to and grow the garden produce that will be used to stock the Care Center Food Store. The garden group meets every Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; learn more at willowcreek.org/groups.

What a fun afternoon we had celebrating our volunteers this past Sunday. Our Local C&J volunteers gathered as one team to enjoy lunch and hear some highlights from this year. Huge shoutout to BBQ On Wheels for providing grilled-on-site burgers, hot dogs, and chicken, which were accompanied by delicious potluck sides.

Every shift at the Care Center begins with prayer. Volunteers gather together to prepare for the shift and pray for each other and the guests: the is the rhythm and routine of every Care Center shift. Here are our Thursday evening Hospitality and Food/Warehouse Teams. These teams become more than a place to serve; they become communities that live and grow together.

There are plenty of ways to serve at the Care Center: with our guests, behind-the-scenes, weekly, once a month, joining a serving group, and more! Save the Date! The Back to School Bash is happening July 23-25!

This multi-day event that equips thousands of students (Pre-K to Grade 12) with the tools, dignity, and confidence to start the school year well. Every student who attends has the opportunity to choose a brand new backpack and fill it with supplies, receive a fresh haircut, shop for new clothes, complete required health screenings, and enjoy popcorn and treats.

Are you looking for a community? A place to belong? Hope Renewed is a place to rediscover hope and remember that you are not alone. Here, you can share your story, be truly seen, and connect with others who understand. This is a safe, welcoming space for community, encouragement and practical support.

Guests who attend Hope Renewed will be able to enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast and receive a visit to the Food Store after the session. Bring your kids–childcare is available!

Hope Renewed is offered on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, beginning June 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. To register, visit willowcreekcarecenter.org/events.

April showers have brought May flowers… and the first harvest of the Care Center garden! Check out these beautiful radishes!

Do you have a green thumb? Are you looking for more ways to get outside this summer or serve? Join our gardening group that will be meeting every Saturday (beginning June 6) for 10 weeks. Help beautify and maintain the Care Center garden this summer by planting vegetables, weeding and tending to the grounds, and assisting with other projects around the garden.
