It was back in 2023 when the announcement came that the Chicago Bears were coming to the Northwest Suburbs — and the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was there from the very beginning.

We stood in support then, and we continue to stand in support now.

Today, we are maybe days away from one of the biggest decisions that could shape the future of Illinois for generations. This is more than a stadium. This is about jobs, opportunity, small business growth, tourism, construction, hospitality, restaurants, vendors, entrepreneurs, and families.

If the Bears stay in Illinois and make the Northwest Suburbs their home, the impact could be historic. Reports connected to the Arlington Heights proposal have projected tens of thousands of construction-related jobs, thousands of permanent jobs, and major long-term economic activity for Illinois. One report cited 56,000 construction jobs, while another projected about 9,000 permanent jobs once completed.

For our Hispanic community, this means access. It means contracts. It means workforce opportunities. It means our restaurants, contractors, landscapers, suppliers, artists, entertainers, professional services, and family-owned businesses can be part of something transformational.

The Hispanic community has always helped build Illinois — with our hands, our businesses, our culture, our food, our music, our work ethic, and our dreams. The Bears staying in the Northwest Suburbs would create a powerful opportunity to make sure our community is not just watching history happen, but helping build it.

The Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was there in 2023 to support this vision, and we will continue to advocate for the Bears in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois — because we believe this moment can bring people together, strengthen our economy, and open doors for communities that deserve to be included.

This decision is bigger than football.

It is about pride.
It is about legacy.
It is about keeping opportunity in Illinois.
And it is about making sure the Hispanic community has a seat at the table as the future is built.

Let’s keep the Bears in Illinois. Let’s bring them home to the Northwest Suburbs.

Acceso a contratos.
Acceso a empleos.
