Our 100 Year Celebration Picnic is almost here, and we need our amazing volunteers to help make this milestone celebration one to remember! ❤️

For 100 years, our community has come together to support neighbors, families and children in need. Now, we’re bringing everyone together to celebrate YOU—the volunteers, donors, sponsors, community partners and friends who have helped make our journey possible.

Our 100 Year Celebration Picnic will take place immediately following Sunny Hill Elementary’s 1st Annual Juntos Run as One 5K, and we encourage families to participate in the 5K and then join us for the picnic!

Families are invited to participate in Sunny Hill Elementary’s 1st Annual Juntos Run as One 5K before joining us for our celebration.

Help Us Plan for Our Picnic

The picnic is free and does not require registration. However, we kindly ask that you RSVP for the picnic by September 5, 2026 so we can plan for food and activities by scanning the QR code in the poster.

If you plan to participate in both the 5K and the picnic, you will need to register for the 5K using the 5K registration link and RSVP separately for the picnic.

As we wrap up another incredible Back to School Event, our hearts are full of gratitude. Because of the donations received from our amazing community, local schools and organizations including Givenkindorg as well as our generous sponsors, community partners, and volunteers, 368 families and 875 children were able to shop for backpacks, school supplies, clothing, athletic shoes, books, personal care items, and more—helping them start the school year with confidence and dignity.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors:

❤️ St. Anne's Hope Ministries for sponsoring our Personal Care Section and providing $25 Walmart Gift Cards to families, helping them purchase additional school essentials.

🎒 Glenn & Barb Reed for generously sponsoring backpacks so every child could head back to school prepared.

🏢 The Arboretum of South Barrington for once again providing the space that allows us to create a welcoming shopping experience for local families.

📚🎒 Our Back to School Donation Drive Needs Your Help! 🎒📚
Unfortunately, due to the dangerous air quality, we had to postpone our Pack the Bus event. But our mission hasn't changed—local students are still counting on us, and you can help us fill their backpacks before school begins!

Now through August 1, we're collecting new items for school-aged children, including:
🎒 Backpacks
👕 New Clothing
👟 Athletic Shoes & Socks (for PE)
✏️ School Supplies
…and other back-to-school essentials!
