NACM Connect provides services and information to assist its members in all facets of their work activities. First and foremost, NACM Connect educates its members in credit, collections and related matters while working toward

the continuing professionalization of the credit management field. A vital network through which members can interact and learn from each other, NACM Midwest also monitors legislative developments to assure sound credit laws and guard against fraud. Our Regional Meeting is in the books. Thank you to the speakers and attendees for making this event a great success.

The session on 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁, led by Staci Cima, CCE, of Echo Electric, explored the challenges of digital transformation in finance automation. Staci shared real-life experiences and effective strategies for overcoming resistance and ensuring successful adoption of new technologies. In 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀’ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, Erica Mannix and Daniel B. Besikof from Lowenstein Sandler discussed the critical function of Chapter 11 creditors’ committees in safeguarding unsecured interests. They highlighted strategies for collaboration and advocacy through case studies that illustrated financing negotiations and litigation tactics.

Chris Kuehl from Armada Corporate Intelligence provided an 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁e, analyzing the rapid changes under the current administration and their implications for the economy and commercial credit landscape.

Lastly, John Cornell of Crescendo Trade Risk led a discussion on 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻/𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿, emphasizing the need for intentional risk management strategies. He argued that a well-defined risk retention mix could enhance enterprise value and elevate the role of credit leaders in organizational leadership.

Here's to a fantastic day of learning and professional growth at our 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 last Thursday!

Attendees kicked off the day by discussing rapid 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀, learning how to cut through the noise to make faster, smarter credit decisions. Industry experts then broke down the complex world of 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗰𝘆, providing crucial strategies to help trade creditors minimize risk and maximize financial recoveries. We also explored real-world solutions for 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 and wrapped up the day with a fun, interactive workshop solving 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀. What an awesome meeting in Buffalo, NY yesterday!!! With more than 25 members, speakers and staff in attendance, the event's energy and overall vibe made this one of our most memorable Regional Meetings at this year's Credit Races.

The presentations provided attendees with a comprehensive toolkit for optimizing cash flow and mitigating credit risk in a volatile 2026 economy. They also learned how automated A/R workflows and Standby Letters of Credit can streamline collections and provide payment security. Additionally, our popular credit game entertained and educated participants on different credit scenarios.
