The Community/Council Working Group meeting on Wed, Aug 26th has been cancelled due to multiple calendar conflicts for the SVRE team. We will see everyone next week and hope everyone has a great back to school week!

CRITICAL UPDATE! Jupiter is bailing on King County permitting — and heading to EFSEC!

In another sign that Jupiter continues to disregard our community and our legitimate concerns about the Cascadia Ridge BESS project, they’ve decided to take their case straight to the state.

We appreciate KOMO meeting with us and listening to our community’s concerns regarding the Cascadia Ridge BESS development.

We welcome Jupiter “pausing” the King County application, but we will not stand down until the Cascadia Ridge BESS project is withdrawn and both county and state regulations are updated to prevent industrial BESS developments from being sited right next to residential communities and vulnerable environmental ecosystems.

We have seen the City’s post (linked in the comments below) that the permit application with King County is on hold. While any pause or delay is good news, we do not know the full picture. We’re investigating and will update everyone as soon as we know more. Watch this space.
