Each year, at least 1.7 million adults in America develop . Providence hospitals and affiliates care for 44,000 sepsis patients annually.

Black patients and patients with limited English proficiency have, on average, higher readmission rates and longer lengths of stay than their white, English-speaking counterparts.

To address these issues, our nurse navigators offer sepsis education and support in patients’ preferred language as well as a graphic novelette to highlight a conversation between a patient and their caregiver.

We are committed to reducing health disparities for communities who have historically been underserved and marginalized.

The Providence Wellness and Activity Center is officially open in Lawndale. 🎉

Located at 4161 Manhattan Beach Blvd., this amazing facility provides children and families with free classes and activities, offering a clean and safe space to learn and connect with neighbors, all while promoting a healthier lifestyle.

A big thank you to Lawndale Elementary School District who helped managed the entire project and California Natural Resources Agency Cultural Community, Natural Resources Grant Program and the Purnell family for your support in bringing this wellness center to life.
