🐟 ONE FISH, TWO FISH, RED FISH, BLUE FISH 🐟

Our Dr. Seuss kittens need your help!

Three of these four little kittens have been receiving veterinary care around the clock for the past several days as we work to get them healthy and strong. 💔 Thanks to the staff at Salish Veterinary Hospital, they are still with us.

The fourth kitten is thriving and enjoying all of foster Cecelia’s attention, but the other three are struggling and need continued medical support.

We are also caring for Lady Sharon Nana and her puppies, and our expenses are adding up quickly.

WE ARE RUNNING DANGEROUSLY LOW ON FUNDS.

🐾 Pet Food Bank Update! 🐾

It was looking a little grim for the Pet Food Bank this week, but thanks to a little help from Northwest Rescue Collective we are looking GOOD! 🙌🐶🐱

We’re incredibly grateful for organizations that believe in rescues helping rescues and communities helping communities. Because of their support, we’ll be able to make sure local pets have full bellies this month. ❤️

🐾 **VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED: PET FOOD BANK MANAGER** 🐾

We’re looking for a dedicated **volunteer** to take on the role of **Pet Food Bank Manager** and help keep this important community program running smoothly!

**What you’ll help with:**
• Managing food and supply donations
• Maintaining relationships and communication with our generous donors
• Scheduling donation pick-ups
• Working with our Pet Food Bank Volunteer Coordinator to make sure the food bank is fully staffed each month
• Occasionally helping with donation pick-ups when needed

⏰ **Estimated volunteer commitment:** Approximately **10 hours per month**, possibly a little more if you’re helping with pick-ups.

💰 **Pay:** This is a **volunteer position**, so the financial compensation is exactly $0. 😂

The benefits package, however, includes:
🐾 The great feeling that comes from giving back to your community
😴 Sleeping well at night knowing you did something good
❤️ Our enormous appreciation
🐶🐱 And, whenever possible, some quality rescue dog or cat snuggles

Our Pet Food Bank helps local families keep their beloved pets fed and at home, and this volunteer plays an important role in making that possible.

We’re looking for someone who is **organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with people, and able to coordinate moving pieces behind the scenes.**

🐾🎉 **AND THE PUPPIES HAVE NAMES!** 🎉🐾

Thank you to everyone who submitted names for Lady Sharon Nana’s puppies! Thanks to your entries, we raised **$570 toward their veterinary care!** ❤️

And now, without further ado, meet the newly named crew:

🖤 **Larson** — Black girl
This is the one name we chose ourselves, in honor of **Dr. Larson at Salish Veterinary Hospital**. When Lady Sharon Nana became very ill with an infection after giving birth, Dr. Larson went above and beyond — coming by before work, after work, and whenever she was needed to help us care for her. Naming one of LSN’s babies Larson felt like the perfect thank-you. ❤️

🐄 **Branson** — Cow boy
Named in honor of **James Branson**, who taught me so much about catching frightened and lost dogs. His knowledge has helped me help countless dogs over the years, so we loved seeing his name chosen for one of these little guys.

🖤 **Hero** — Black boy
Thank you, **Cece**, for his name! 🦸‍♂️

🖤 **Juno** — Black girl
Thank you, **Krishna**! 💕

🐄 **Checkers** — Cow boy

The puppies are busy eating right now — because apparently being officially named works up an appetite! 😂🍼 We’ll get individual pictures of everyone later today and post each puppy with their brand-new name so you can officially meet them.

From a very scary beginning to seven growing, thriving, and now officially named puppies, this little family has had quite the journey.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a name, donated, shared their story, cheered them on, and helped us get them this far. **$570 raised means $570 toward the veterinary care that has helped keep this family going.**

🐟 One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish… 🐟

Four little kittens,
all fuzzy and small,
with names that weren’t really
planned names at all!

When I called Salish Veterinary Hospital
for their vet-care day,
I hadn’t picked names yet—
so what could I say?

So Salish picked the names:
One Fish. Two Fish.
Red Fish. Blue Fish.
They typed them all in…
and we decided they had to stick! 😂

But these four little Fish
are having it rough.
They’re fighting coccidia AND worms,
and that’s pretty tough.

Thankfully, their amazing foster Cecelia
is giving them care
around the clock,
with plenty to spare. ❤️

There’s an isolation bathroom,
where kitten care goes—
separate clothes, gloves,
and covers for toes.

Rescue spray ready,
clean everything twice.
Because coccidia certainly
does NOT play nice.

There are t**h baths for kittens
looking soggy and sad,
and a BIG syringe of fluids
when hydration is bad.

Then morning rolls around—
it’s time for the gruel!
Fed by syringe,
because eating is cool.

One Fish, Two Fish,
Red Fish, Blue Fish…
Right now our biggest
and most important wish:

Get healthy, little Fishies.
Get strong. Eat and grow.
You’ve got Cece beside you,
and a whole rescue cheering you on as you go. 🐾❤️🐟

Once again, we’ve taken
the case that is hard—
the ones needing extra
time, care, and heart.

We’ll do what it takes
to help these Fish thrive,
but cases like these
come with bills by our side.

Tomorrow we’ll be drawing the names for Lady Sharon Nana’s puppies! 🐶❤️

⏰ TIME CHANGE: We were originally planning to go live at 2 PM, but the drawing will now be LIVE at 4 PM!
