Start your Reflections entry at an upcoming art recess 10/8

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students pre-K through grade 12. Students create original works of art in response to a theme. The 2026-2027 Reflections theme is “What My Culture Means To Me.”

Find more information and the entry form at cvesptsa.org/reflections

Students can work on their entries at two remaining art recesses during the month of October: October 15 and 22. Entries created during art recess still need to be turned in to the office with an entry form.

We are SO CLOSE to our $55,000 Walk-A-Thon stretch goal! 🐾

Reaching $55,000 unlocks our “Beyond the Summit: Big Playground Dreams” goal. If we hit it, the PTSA will be able to put additional Walk-A-Thon funds toward our long-term goal of helping fund new playground equipment at Cascade View. 🛝

Donations are still open through Friday, so there’s still time to help your Cub earn incentives and help us finish strong!

A few grades are also incredibly close to earning their 75% participation reward: EXTRA RECESS! 🎉

⭐ Kindergarten needs just 1 more participant
⭐ 3rd Grade needs just 3 more participants
⭐ 4th Grade needs just 5 more participants

Creating a fundraising page counts toward grade-level participation, and donations can also help students work toward class parties and earn individual raffle tickets for our prize drawing!

Let’s make these last few days count, Cubs! 🐻🌲

There is something for everyone’s schedule and things you can do in your off time to support our students and school.

Even if you think you can't help this year, find out more to get involved next school year!

What a day for our Walk-A-Thon event! ☀️ The sun was shining, smiles were everywhere, and our kids worked hard. Together, they ran 16,059 laps, totaling 1,605.9 miles! 🏃

A huge thank you to our event volunteers. The day wouldn’t have been possible without you!

We met our $50,000 goal! 🎉 Since our last update, we’ve unlocked three more school wide incentives:

💃 Camp Counselor Dance-off: Lucky members of our staff will suit up in inflatable costumes and show off their best dance moves. Get ready to cheer them on!
🔥 Staff Campout: A staff member will trade their office for a campsite. We can’t wait to see how they settle into camp life!
🦎 Creature Encounter: Our students have earned a special Reptile Guy assembly. Get ready for some scaly surprises!

Congratulations to 5th grade for earning an extra recess by reaching 75% participation.

Kinder is just one participant away from earning one too, and the other grades are making great progress to earning theirs! Creating a fundraising page counts toward the participation goal even if it has no donations yet!

Check out the leaderboard slides for the latest participation and fundraising standings.

Even though our Cubs are done walking, fundraising continues through Friday, October 9! Help us reach $55,000 and take the first step toward new playground equipment our kids can enjoy for years to come!

If you haven’t started fundraising yet, we need your help. Create and share your student’s page. Every donation helps! Let’s finish strong!
