Happy New Year! I pray that you and your family have felt the comforting presence of Emmanuel (God WITH us) in your everyday activities over the past few weeks. Christmas is hands down my favorite time of the year! I so look forward to the lights, the bustle, and the time with family members that only seems to happen this time of the year. All of it fills my heart with such joy!
Yet amidst all the beauty of this season, our hearts can often become overwhelmed, exhausted, and in need of some restoration. Jumping right back into our “normal everyday life” can seem almost impossible. That is because our hearts were not created for the chaotic life that most of us live every day. Our culture speaks of needing “self-care”. But the bible takes a much deeper approach and provides a more practical explanation for what we really need for both our physical and mental health. The Psalmist says it perfectly – “He refreshes and restores my soul (life). He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” (Psalms 23:3 Amplified Bible).
We look forward to you joining us on our next Wives of KOZ Zoom Call to be held on Monday, January 20, 2025. Be sure to join us as we explore and discuss the topic of Soul Care.
