Friends of Megan's Paws & Claws 501c3

We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that supports Megan's Paws and Claws municipal dog shelter in Smithville, MO. To donate, find us on PayPal and Venmo!

Friends of Megan’s Paws and Claws, (“FOMPAC”), is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization founded in 2022 and is comprised entirely of volunteers. FOMPAC’s primary mission is to financially support Megan’s Paws and Claws, the dog pound located in Smithville, Missouri, founded in honor of Megan Kitchen, an avid animal lover. In addition to financially supporting the dog pound, FOMPAC promotes the

adoption of shelter dogs and supports community outreach and education. Financing is provided through donations and fundraising events carried out by volunteers. FOMPAC believes that our entire community benefits from compassion and humanity shown in caring for animals who are lost or discarded.

Pet Pantry News!

We received word today that the parking lots behind Smithville City Hall will be closed beginning June 13th until the evening of June 21st to accommodate the carnival during Smithville Lakefest. Our pet pantry will not be accessible and will be locked up during this time. Friends of Megan's Paws & Claws 501c3 will unlock the pantry at 9am on Monday, June 22nd. Please reach out to us if you are in need of pet food.

Friends of Megan's Paws & Claws 501c3 provided the Smithville Police Department with dog treats for their patrol cars. The treats will be useful when picking up loose doggos in our community.
