Unfortunately, today’s Fishing Derby had to be canceled due to lightning in the area and for everyone’s safety. ⚡️

We were able to snap a few pictures before we had to make the difficult call to end the event. We appreciate everyone who came out and supported us, even with the unexpected weather! 💙

At this time, we are not sure if we will be able to reschedule, but our club will discuss options at our next meeting. If we are able to set a new date, we will share the details right here on our page.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it out today, and a special thank you to all of our amazing sponsors for supporting our event and our mission. We truly appreciate your generosity and support of our community! 🎣💙

🎣 Important Fishing Derby Update 🎣

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this Saturday’s Annual Kiwanis Fishing Derby. If the storms currently being predicted move into our area, we may need to cancel the event for the safety of all participants.

Before heading out Saturday morning, please check our page for the latest updates regarding the status of the derby.

We are hoping for clear skies and a great day of fishing, but safety comes first. Thank you for your understanding, and we will keep everyone informed as the weekend approaches.

💙 Save Your Pop Tabs, Change a Life! 💙

Our Kiwanis Club is proud to support Ronald McDonald House by collecting aluminum pop tabs. These small tabs may not seem like much, but when collected together, they help raise funds that provide comfort, care, and support for families with children receiving medical treatment.

We invite our community to start saving pop tabs from soda cans, soup cans, pet food cans, and other aluminum containers. Every tab counts!

📍 Drop-off Location: Nodaway Valley Bank or David Cooper’s Edward Jones office in Smithville

Nothing brings people together quite like bingo, good food, and community! 🍽️🎉

Today we had a wonderful time hosting bingo and serving lunch at the Smithville Senior Center. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, share some laughs, and give back to such a special group in our community.
