Through its Community Appeals process, the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Abbott House Youth Services’ “Building Bridges to Brighter Futures” campaign.

From April 1 through July 31, 2026, this effort will raise support for two intensive foster homes and four independent living apartments for youth transitioning into adulthood.

We hope you will support this important campaign and the lasting impact it will have on young people in Sioux Falls and across South Dakota.

We appreciate the candidates, Jamie Smith and Christine Erickson, for sharing their perspectives on the future of Sioux Falls and helping voters learn more about the issues facing our community.

As a reminder, the Sioux Falls mayoral runoff election is Tuesday, June 23. We encourage all eligible voters to make a plan to vote and have their voices heard.

Congratulations to Active Generations on the opening of Simply Good Cafe. We were proud to celebrate with a ribbon cutting yesterday! Join us in congratulating them and wishing them continued success. They are located on the east side of S. Foss Ave. at the Active Generations East Campus.

Active Generations promotes healthy, independent living through wellness, fitness and nutrition services. The organization provides nearly 300,000 meals annually across the Sioux Empire and recently opened Simply Good Cafe at its East Campus.
