Our mission is to empower our communities to grow. Thank you to our investors.

A unique regional development effort began in 1991 with the creation of the Minnehaha County Economic Development Association (MCEDA) and later in 1997 with the creation of the Lincoln County Economic Development Association (LCEDA). The formation of these organizations has led to a heightened degree of economic growth for the region by drawing attention to the assets available to businesses and industries looking for long-term sustainable growth options. The LCEDA and MCEDA Executive Director partners with the Sioux Falls Development Foundation, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Sioux Empire Housing Partnership, and the Southeastern Council of Local Governments to create a strong regional economy. In March of 2021, LCEDA & MCEDA announced their consolidation which created the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance (SMGA). SMGA is generously supported by the communities and counties served and the banks and utility companies serving the member communities.

Some projects are about building a facility. Others are about building something that will change lives.

On Friday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Uniquely Yours Specialized Care, a project rooted in something much bigger than a new building: creating opportunities, providing meaningful care, and making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young adults with disabilities.

Behind this project are people and a community with a vision, a deep sense of purpose, and a commitment to making sure every individual has the opportunity to be supported, valued and cared for.

It was inspiring to hear the heart behind this vision and to celebrate the people and community coming together to make it a reality.

We’re excited to watch this project take shape and, more importantly, see the impact it will have for years to come.
