Did you know cows are called ruminants, which means they have a stomach with four different parts. They swallow their food quickly, and later bring it back up to chew it again as "cud". A beef cow can move its jaw up to 40,000 times a day just by chewing its food!

We are getting down to the last few days of month! It is always a joy for us to be asked to come into the classroom.

We were able to visit students last week and talk about what plants need to grow and be successful. The highlight of the day was planting some zinnias and petunias to take home!🌷

At GroundWorks Connect, we are always striving to improve our program, activities, curriculum and content. We have developed an advisory team for our Agriculture in the Classroom and Teaching Garden programs. These advisory teams will consist of industry leaders, producers, educators, and nutrition and health professionals to guide curriculum development, while also helping us stay factual with information and industry vetted content.
