We welcome the community to gather and serve each other, feeding body and soul. All meals are cooked, served, and paid for by volunteer groups.

The Banquet is a feeding ministry providing 16 warm, nutritious meals to the most vulnerable people in our community. All are welcome to join in food and fellowship at The Banquet.

Also because, if we’re being honest, we’ve had A LOT going on lately and have been absolutely BLOWING up your feeds:

》 Fairs, Events & Festivals
》 Birthdays
》 Run for The Banquet.
》 High volunteer needs.
》 A brand-new volunteer system.
》 More than a few days of begging, pleading, and asking for help
》 AMAZING donations
》 And now… the beginnings of a new Christmas tradition we’re pretty excited about.

So yes, our regular volunteer thank-yous got a little behind.

We’re sorry.

But also…

HOT DANG. LOOK AT ALL THESE AMAZING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the last month and a half, our kitchens and dining rooms have been filled with churches, businesses, schools, organizations, families, individuals, and, of course, our incredible Banquet Angels.

There’s something pretty awesome about seeing all of these photos together. It’s basically a giant game of Where’s Waldo: Banquet Edition.
Behind every picture is someone who gave their time, rolled with the changes, learned something new, showed patience when things weren’t perfect, and helped make sure our guests were welcomed and fed.

So this giant photo dump is really one giant THANK YOU.

Thank you for the patience.

Thank you for the understanding.

Thank you for going with the flow.

Thank you for continuing to show up.

And thank you for reminding us what community actually looks like.

Thanksgiving morning starts with us. 🦃🏃

Run for The Banquet, Sioux Falls’ Thanksgiving Day Run, is coming Thursday, November 26 at 8:00 AM! Join us for the 1.5 Mile, 5K, 10K, Kids Race, or even Run From Anywhere. Or just order a shirt!

There is NO REQUIRED ENTRY FEE to participate. Run for The Banquet has always been about bringing the community together, with a suggested $20 donation helping support The Banquet.

Registration is OPEN NOW, and we’re also looking for volunteers to help make the morning a success.
