Citizenship & Naturalization Service’s
Citizenship confers rights and eligibility for many social services, but the naturalization process is often difficult, confusing and expensive for low-income refugees & immigrants. In an effort to support eligible applicants who are in need of assistance ACCSF proudly provides free citizenship classes, naturalization case management, and fee waiver assistance to eligible low income applicants.
Education & Youth Development
African Immigrant youth face numerous education hurdles. Their parents cannot assist them because they do not speak English
understand the US education system, and/or lack formal education. Likewise, schools do not know how to approach & assist immigrant families. ACCSF provides programs that bridge these gaps in it’s own capacity.
ACCSF operates
an education & mentoring program in High Schools of Sioux falls that prepares our young adults for advanced educations, prosperous careers, and roles as community leaders.
Capacity Building
ACCSF provides workshops that educate parents about the local school system and facilitate school outreach to African families.
After School Tutoring Program
ACCSF operates an inclusive, free after school program that focuses on providing homework assistance, cultivating good study habits, and developing reading, writing and math skills
Assistant to the senior community
ACCSF assist senior community members achieve economic self-sufficiency, mental, physical and emotional health, and reduce health disparity and ensure that elders connect to required services.
Social Service Case Management
Our case management services cover 16 different components, including medical waivers, housing referrals, TANF & WIC applications, utility assistance, employment services that help them build sustainable lives and translation services to individuals and organizations that interacting with immigrants or other people with limited English and Sport activities for Immigrants in middle and high schools youth to promote physical
Ongoing projects
ACCSF gives sewing and design training
Sewing training to the refugee and immigrant parents is available. At the end of course they will able to be a sufficient and generate income
African soccer games will organize this summer
African immigrants are good in soccer games and ACCSF is organizing soccer teams for African countries teams.There will be African champion players that will go to other states to play.
