Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet (SMB) Founded in 1973, SMB is one of the oldest continuously-operating arts organizations in Shreveport-Bossier City.

The company presents a season of 2 major performances each year as well as numerous free arts outreach performances in public libraries, hospitals, community centers, festivals, and nursing and retirement homes.

We are pleased to announce our new Board President, Sarrah McGovern. A proud Shreveport native, she leads as President of Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet with a deep love for her community and the arts. With more than 12 years of nonprofit service, she has dedicated herself to making a difference—serving as past Board President of Companions of CPAS and creating programs that support veterans and their service dogs. Alongside her own dog, Rooni, she is part of the only dog therapy team at Overton Brooks VA, bringing comfort and connection to local veterans. Her passion for serving others is rooted in the place she has always called home. Please join us in welcoming Sarrah (and Rooni!) to the SMB family!
