🌲 Trash the Trash: Keep the Smokies Beautiful! 🐻

Today, we had a great time welcoming visitors to the Smokies and sharing a simple message: enjoy this beautiful place—and help us keep it beautiful!

Through our "Trash the Trash: Keep the Smokies Beautiful" event, we handed out bags filled with litter-prevention information, BearWise resources, car trash cans, and other fun swag to help visitors recreate responsibly and properly dispose of their waste.

Every piece of trash kept off our roads, trails, and waterways makes a difference—not only for the beauty of the Smokies, but also for the wildlife that calls this special place home.

Thank you to the Sevierville Visitors Center and Gatlinburg Welcome Center for hosting us and to everyone who stopped by, learned more, and committed to doing their part. Together, we can Trash the Trash and Keep the Smokies Beautiful!

‼️VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED‼️

Sevierville is proud to be the host city of the 2026 TSSAA High School Golf State Championship. From October 4-9, over 300 high school golfers will challenge themselves and each other for the title of state champion at the Sevierville Golf Club.

Hosting an event of this caliber is an honor and an opportunity to highlight the best our community has to offer both on the course and off. But in order to do that, the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce needs your help!

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available, including scoring, check-in, and shuttle driving. Make Sevier County shine for these student athletes! 🏌️‍♂️

Happy National Public Lands Day! 🌱

National Public Lands Day is the country's largest single-day volunteer event for public lands. We were thrilled to partner with Great Smoky Mountains National Park to celebrate through service this morning at Elkmont Campground. We picked up litter, cleared debris, and built picnic tables for the enjoyment of future campers!

This year's NPLD theme is "Caring for Our Shared America." In order to live out that theme past today's projects, we also took time as a group to learn the 7 Leave No Trace principles so we can always recreate responsibly. 🥾🐻 ⛺️

We challenge YOU to learn the Leave No Trace principles, too! Visit lnt.org!

🐬 Our friends at Ocean Connections, Inc. are hosting a river cleanup this Saturday! Please join if you can! Stopping litter right here in Sevier County helps prevent it from flowing downstream and potentially adding pollution to our oceans. 🌊

👏 Thank you to the wonderful volunteers that participated in our Project Restore cleanup today at the Seymour Community Park!

We simply could not do what we do without dedicated individuals like you! It was hot, sweaty, work clearing out all that trash, and we appreciate your willingness to get down and dirty to make a difference! 💪

🤝 KSB is proud to partner with LIVE-IT Ministries as they strive towards their vision of transforming the park into a robust recreational area and dynamic center for community gatherings!
