Honor Dolly's legacy and help us celebrate Give Like Dolly Day by making sure every child in your life under the age of 5 is enrolled!

More than 50% of Kentucky's children are receiving books directly in their mailboxes each month, but our dreams are as big as Dolly's. Help us inspire our youngest Kentuckians to grow up with a love of reading.

Join the celebration by enrolling your child or making a life-changing gift today!

In honor of national Give Like Dolly Day on Friday, September 25th, we will be donating 25% of all sales from that day to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Boyle County, KY.

Every month, more than 1,000 kids right here in Boyle County receive a FREE book in the mail, thanks to the Imagination Library. I am proud to have been part of our local steering committee since the program's launch. Every year, we are tasked with raising more than $30,000 *locally* to keep the program running.

So this Friday, buy a book to give a book. Online and in-person sales both count, so come see us in person or browse the website at www.plaidelephantbooks.com

This is what it looks like to .

Right here in Pulaski County, over 2,400 children receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Behind every book is a community of people who believe in the power of giving—our donors, volunteers, local partners and supporters who help make this program possible.

On September 25, Give Like Dolly Day, you can help us reach even more children and families in Pulaski County. Every gift helps us continue building a community where children can grow up surrounded by the joy of books and reading.

This Friday, 9/25, we will be raising funds for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Daviess County, KY. Each location will be selling a special menu item called the “Tennessee Mountain Twist” for $5, with 100% of each sale going directly to the Imagination Library. This special menu item is Orange Dole Whip twisted with our creamy vanilla soft serve. Cones will be served in assorted, random colors including pink, turquoise and purple. Cups will be served in pink cups with pink spoons (while supplies last).

If 100 cones or cups are sold, the Imagination Library will receive $500. If 200 cones or cups are sold, the Imagination Library will receive $1,000, etc. Wonder Whip Christmas ornaments will also be available for purchase, also benefitting the Imagination Library of Daviess County.

This event will run from open to close, and the weather should be perfect. We are hoping for a big turnout. The more we sell, the more money will be donated to the program.
