🐾 Helping Clallam County Prepare for Pets in Disasters! 🐾

The Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club is proud to partner with Clallam County Emergency Management to help bring an AKC Pet Disaster Relief Trailer to our community.

When disaster strikes, our pets need a safe place too. An AKC Pet Disaster Relief Trailer can provide essential supplies and equipment to help shelter and care for pets when families are displaced or evacuated during an emergency.

❤️ Our goal is $12,000—and your donation can go twice as far!

Pet Emergency Group has generously promised to match up to $6,000 in donations. If our community raises $6,000, those matching funds can help us reach the $12,000 needed to apply for the grant for the trailer.

🎡 You can help at the Clallam County Fair!

Clallam County Emergency Management is at the fair today through Sunday. Stop by the Emergency Management booth to pick up a flyer with a QR code to donate and learn more about this important project.

As dog lovers, we know our animals are family. Preparing for disasters means making sure resources are in place to protect and care for them when our community needs them most.

The Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club is excited to work alongside Clallam County Emergency Management on this effort, and we hope our members, friends, fellow animal lovers, and community will join us in reaching our goal.

🐾 Celebrating Another Awesome Year with Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club! 🐾

What better way to cap off another successful year of dog sports than with our Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club Picnic! 🎉🌭🐶

It’s been a busy and exciting year for our club! Together, we hosted:
🐾 3-Day AKC Scent Work Trial
🐾 3-Day Agility, Rally & Obedience Trial
🐾 3-Day All-Breed Dog Show featuring Obedience, Rally & Fast CAT
🐾 3-Day Agility Trial

That’s a LOT of dogs, events, ribbons, early mornings, long days, happy exhibitors, and great memories! 🏆🐕❤️

None of these events would be possible without the dedication of our hardworking club members and amazing volunteers.

From planning and setup to working the events, pitching in wherever needed, and cleaning up when it’s all over—you are what makes these events happen.

THANK YOU to everyone who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make this another successful year for Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club! 👏💙

We’re proud of what our club accomplished together, and it was wonderful to gather for our annual picnic, relax, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate another fantastic year.

Here’s to our members, our volunteers, our dogs, and many more great events to come! 🐾🎉

It’s starting to look like a dog show is going to happen this weekend, club member Steve Chinn has been busy mowing so all you RV folks say Thank you if you see him, we Have The RV lines painted and are extremely full. My normal helpers are not able to assist this year and breaking in some newbie’s but we are looking forward to getting everyone to their spot tomorrow, we even had a treat of watching a bald eagle hunt and carry his catch over us this morning and could hear babies in the trees behind the field demanding their breakfast

🐾 Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club All-Breed Dog Show & OFA Eye Clinic 👁️🐕

We're excited to welcome exhibitors and dog lovers to the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club All-Breed Dog Show! While you're enjoying a great weekend of competition, don't miss this opportunity to have your dog's eyes examined by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist.

Saturday, July 25, 2026
🕘 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
👨‍⚕️ Dr. Nathan Kice

Clinic Details:
• Cost: $45 per dog
• Cash or check only
• Appointment times will be assigned that day—simply sign up for an available time slot upon arrival.
• The clinic will be located at the back of the conformation show grounds in the northeast corner of the field. Just follow the posted signs!

Whether you're completing health clearances for breeding, earning CHIC certifications, or simply monitoring your dog's eye health, this is an excellent opportunity to have your dog examined by a veterinary specialist.
