There’s something powerful about sharing a meal and serving our community together.

This weekend, we’ll be gathering in Selma for a FREE Community Meal, and everyone is invited.

Before Saturday’s meal, we’ll be hitting the neighborhood Friday evening, going door-to-door to meet people, invite them to join us, and pray for anyone who has needs. Sometimes ministry is as simple as showing up, listening, and letting people know they are loved.

Then on Saturday at 12:00 PM, we’ll gather around the table for good food, good conversation, good music, and good people.

A special thank you to Potts' Meats, First Baptist Church of Normandy, Homestead Way, and everyone volunteering their time and resources to make this event possible.

What an incredible first day of Summer Sports Camp!

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make today possible.

A special thank you to Onelife Fitness for donating surprises for the kids and helping make the experience even more memorable.

Thank you to STRIKE Studio for allowing us to use pads, mitts, and equipment throughout the camp. Your support helps create opportunities for these kids to learn, grow, and have fun.

A huge shout out to our amazing coaching team and volunteers, including several coaches from Selma Soul BJJ who came out to invest their time, energy, and knowledge into the next generation. We couldn't do this without you.

Most importantly, thank you to Seeds of Hope for organizing and providing this FREE opportunity for the youth in our community.

The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, so there's still time to get your child involved!

Rainy day here in Selma, but some of our homeless friends are still out in it today.

Thanks to a donation yesterday, we were able to get pizza and drinks out to everyone. Rain or shine, we’ll continue showing up and showing the love of God in practical ways.

The latest Barna study shows that over 10 million people in the U.S. are involved in house churches. What’s driving this shift away from traditional Sunday gatherings?

Is it a desire for deeper community? A return to a more biblical model of church? A response to dissatisfaction with institutional structures?

May 1–8, 2026 we are heading back to Zambrano, Honduras — and we have plenty of room if you’d like to join us.

On this trip we will:

• Go door to door in every village handing out food
• Pray personally for families
• Meet practical needs
• Hold local church services
• Preach, teach, and encourage

We are raising $7,000 to purchase 7,000 lbs of food to distribute throughout the villages. Any additional food will be distributed locally to families in need.

After years of being trapped in a toxic work environment that left me with little time for anyone, I finally broke free. That experience led me to a decision: I would never let work or ministry come between my relationships again.

At its core, life is about two simple truths—loving God and loving others.

Paul emphasizes the importance of making time for people in Ephesians 5:15-16:

"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil."

This verse reminds us to be intentional with our time, using it wisely to prioritize what truly matters—our relationships—because the time we have is precious.

It’s year-end giving season, and we know there are a lot of requests right now. This post isn’t just about asking — it’s about saying THANK YOU.

This year has been full. Full of challenges, spiritual battles, growth, and God’s faithfulness. Selma continues to be a mission field, and at times it’s felt like everything that *can* be shaken *has* been shaken — but WE ARE STILL HERE.

Through Love Builds, your prayers and generosity have allowed us to share the love of God in tangible ways — right here in Selma and beyond.

Because of your support, we’ve been able to:
• Walk daily with people who are hurting or starting over
• Serve the poor, the homeless, the addicted, and the forgotten
• Partner with local churches and organizations
• Open our home and tables to build unity and discipleship
• Continue outreach, recovery support, and missions

We don’t do this from a distance — we live here, we serve here, and we show up daily. Selma isn’t a project to us; it’s home.

Also important to share — my work allows our living expenses to be covered, which means 100% of every donation goes directly to ministry and outreach.

As 2025 comes to an end, our hearts are full.

Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting Homestead Way Church for a full day of ministry — walking with the monks in Selma on their peace walk, homeless outreach with conversations and prayer over pizza, our afterschool program promotion night, and then heading back out to deliver meals to those in need after the event.

This is what Love Builds is all about — showing up, loving people where they are, and serving in tangible ways.

Thank you to every volunteer, partner, church, donor, parent, and supporter who made 2025 possible. None of this happens without you.

We’re incredibly grateful… and we’re expectant for what 2026 holds.
