Two shootings have taken place in Selma this weekend while thousands are in town for the annual Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee.

You never know when you are inspiring others. One of our participants was excited when she saw action from her bell pepper seeds she planted. She immediately snapped a picture and shared it with our Executive Director thanking her for inspiring her and sowing a vital seed in heart.

Our Dale County Representative, Tam Tam Chambers deserves a huge thank you! Mrs. Chambers and her husband spent time making taco soup for all attendees of the Christmas event despite the passing and funeral of their father. She also found time to pick up donations.

We appreciate the both of you and send our condolences. This 9th annual Christmas event is dedicated to Mr. Alan Richardson. We send our condolences to his children and family.

Today if you got a makeup kit, waffle maker, toys or clothes you have Kelly Flanagan to thank. She is the owner of WireGrass Hippity Hoppity Hoppitry , a full time mom, wife, and a very busy lady. Yet she still find the time to do for others daily.

Not only did she give generously, she even sent over volunteers. To say she loves to serve the community is an understatement. Lol. When I told her that we didn't have much for babies, she went into her own pocket and purchased baby clothes. Thank you Kelly for just being you. Your generosity brought on so many smiles today. We love working with you and truly value your partnership.
