The Edmundite Missions sponsor many ministries to aid those suffering through poverty. These include providing shelter, assistance with utilities, adult education, child care, and food. The Bosco Nutritional Center offers free lunch every day of the year, feeding hundreds their only meal of the day.

Today is a BIG day for JT—and we couldn’t be prouder! 🎓

JT, a participant in our Ubuntu Futures program, is starting his first day of college at Three Rivers Community College!

This moment is about so much more than classes and textbooks. It’s about taking an important step toward independence, opportunity and a future filled with possibility.

Through Ubuntu Futures, Edmundite Missions walks alongside young people like JT, providing the support, skills and encouragement they need to build strong, independent futures.

We’re deeply grateful to the E. William and Frances Kenyon Foundation, whose generous support helps make opportunities like this possible.

Most of all, today we celebrate JT and the hard work that brought him to this moment. Please join us in wishing him a great first day and a wonderful college journey ahead!

There was plenty of excitement and anticipation as our first and second graders rolled up their sleeves and dug through crates of dirt to uncover the sweet potatoes they had grown!

Fresh food. Local farmers. Stronger communities. 🌱🍅

The Rural Economic Development Center’s inaugural farmers market in Mosses brought together approximately 6 local farmers offering more than 20 products and welcomed around 73 community members.

The response was incredible—three farmers sold out within the first three hours!

In a community where access to fresh food matters deeply, this market created an opportunity to support local farmers while bringing fresh, locally grown products closer to families.

Today, we remember **Dolly Parton** with gratitude—not only for the joy she shared with the world, but for the extraordinary way she invested in the future of children.

Through **Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library**, she understood something we believe deeply at Edmundite Missions: **when you give a child an opportunity, you give them the chance to imagine a different future.**

A book can teach a child that *the little engine could.* That *to live would be an awfully big adventure.* That there are wonderful places they might go.

But perhaps the greatest gift is helping children imagine themselves at the center of their own story—a story filled with possibility, purpose and hope.

That same belief guides our work with children and families throughout the Deep South. Through education, nourishing meals, enrichment, technology and opportunities to learn and grow, we strive to help every child we serve see beyond the circumstances of today and discover what tomorrow can hold.

Dolly Parton saw the promise in children—and cared enough to invest in who they could become.

**What a beautiful legacy to leave behind.**

May she rest in peace, and may generations of children continue to dream because she believed their stories mattered.

The Edmundite Missions Academy is helping students in grades 7–10 build a strong foundation for success—in the classroom, in their careers and in life.

Through ACT preparation, college visits, career exposure, financial awareness, development skills and summer work experiences, students gain valuable tools and real-world opportunities while growing in moral and academic excellence.

Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

A recent report from the University of Alabama highlights the health and education disparities facing children in Alabama’s Black Belt. These challenges are more than statistics—they represent real children, families, and communities.

At Edmundite Missions, we believe that investing in children means investing in the whole community—through education, nutrition, health, family support, and opportunity.

When we offer food to someone who is hungry, we are serving Christ. When we comfort someone who is hurting, we are caring for Him. When we extend kindness to someone who feels forgotten, we are responding to Christ Himself.

This is the invitation of the Gospel: **to recognize the face of Jesus in every person we meet.**

For 90 years, Edmundite Missions has embraced this calling throughout the Deep South. Every meal served at the Bosco Nutrition Center, every Breakfast Bag prepared for a child, every family supported through Catholic Social Ministries, and every opportunity created through education and workforce development begins with a simple belief:

**Every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, compassion, and love.**

For nine decades, this ministry has flourished because faithful friends and benefactors have answered Christ’s invitation alongside us. Your generosity is more than a charitable gift—it is an act of discipleship.

Because of your support, those who come through our doors can be welcomed not with judgment, but with compassion; not with despair, but with hope.

As we celebrate **90 years of Edmundite Missions**, we give thanks to God for the countless people who have helped make this ministry possible.
