The club celebrated outgoing President Jim and incoming President Cale at the installation banquet on 6/12/26. It was a wonderful event with our District Governor Linda Devine Ph.D doing the honors. Additionally some club members were awarded donations to Paul Harris for their contributions to the club. Carter Gordon received his Paul Harris pin with 3!! stones representing his contributions to the foundation. The installation was held at theWatering Hole Restaurant in Sebring

🦌 Friendly Wildlife Reminder 🦌

Recently, we received an anonymous tip regarding someone feeding deer in a local neighborhood.

We all enjoy seeing wildlife around Highlands County, but feeding deer and other wild animals can sometimes create problems people don't think about. While feeding deer isn't automatically illegal in Florida, it can become an issue if it creates a nuisance, attracts additional wildlife, or causes safety concerns for residents and drivers.

The deer pictured below were gathered around food that had been put out for them.

FWC recommends letting wildlife stay wild and find their own natural food sources. It helps keep animals healthy and reduces the chances of attracting other unwanted visitors into the neighborhood.

Our local wildlife is one of the things that makes Highlands County special. Let's do our part to enjoy them from a distance and keep them healthy, safe, and wild. ❤️
