💜 A Fresh Start. A Safe Home. A Chance to Begin Again.
As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to leave you with one final call to action.
For a parent escaping domestic violence, finding safety is only the beginning. Starting over often means finding a new home, replacing basic necessities, and rebuilding a life for themselves and their children.
YOU can be part of their fresh start. 💜
🏠 $1,000 – Help cover the first month's rent for a safe place to call home.
💡 $500 – Help with utility deposits to get the lights and water turned on.
🛒 $250 – Fill the pantry and provide household essentials for a family starting over.
👟 $100 – Provide clothing and shoes for a parent or child who had to leave everything behind.
And making a difference doesn't always require a monetary donation!
Gift cards for groceries and everyday essentials, toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and even small comfort items can help make a new place feel a little more like home.
When a family is starting over, it's often the little things we take for granted that mean the most.
At Champion for Children, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving home. Sometimes, helping make that possible means standing beside a parent who has found the courage to start again.
💜 Your generosity could be the difference between simply escaping and truly starting over.
Whether you give $10, $100, a gift card, or a bag of household essentials, your kindness can help a family take that next step toward safety and stability.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜
Today, the wonderful staff from Peace River’s Domestic Violence Center stopped by with a sweet gift to thank us for supporting the families they serve. The popcorn came with the perfect message: “Nothing sweet about domestic violence.”
