According to accounts featured in the footage, Olympia police have previously recovered homicide victims from the encampment, including allegations that bodies were burned in pits.

One person claims multiple bodies were removed from the area in just two months. Others describe hearing babies crying inside the encampment and encountering people emerging from the woods with fresh stab wounds.

When asked if they would ever walk through the Jungle, nearby residents had a clear response:

"I'm terrified. Absolutely not."

These accounts raise urgent questions about public safety, law enforcement, and the conditions people are living in.

🚨WASHINGTON'S HIDDEN HOMELESS COMMUNITY: Tyler Oliveira and Jonathan Choe Journalist go deep inside the infamous "Jungle," one of the region's most notorious homeless encampments.

Hidden in the woods are makeshift shacks, treehouses, stray dogs, and an entire community of people living off the grid.

During their visit, they meet Mike, a man who has lived in the Jungle for nearly SIX YEARS.

He agrees to give them a tour, describing the encampment as essentially its own dangerous neighborhood.

While Washington continues spending money to address homelessness, people are still living in makeshift communities like this, often far from public view.

The footage raises a serious question about the state's approach to homelessness: Are we actually helping people rebuild their lives, or are we allowing these conditions to become permanent?

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: This is what “Housing First” looks like in Seattle.

For years, Jonathan Choe Journalist followed Alex through Seattle’s taxpayer-funded homeless housing system. He eventually landed at North Star, operated by the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC).

Alex showed us what his typical day looks like:

He wakes up. Gets free drug supplies. Takes the bus to find his fentanyl dealer. Returns to his taxpayer-funded apartment. Smokes drugs throughout the day.

No requirement to enter addiction treatment.
No requirement to find a job.
Rarely sees his case manager.

Alex himself admits he has no purpose in life.

This is the reality critics of Washington’s “Housing First” model have been warning about.

Now, as the Trump administration moves federal funding away from Housing First and toward treatment and recovery programs, Washington lawmakers are considering how to make up for potential funding losses.

After more than a decade of this approach, the question is simple:

Has Housing First actually helped people like Alex recover—or simply made it easier for them to remain trapped in addiction?

THIS is what Portland allows on its streets.

An Ethiopian migrant is living in a dog house on top of a pile of garbage, on the side of a busy road. She's homeless and addicted to drugs, and cars drive past her all day long.

Nobody from the city has moved her, cleaned this up, or put her into treatment. Portland's leaders keep spending money and keep calling it compassion, and this is the result.

A city that tolerates this isn't being kind. It's looking the other way.
