🌟Lions World Vision Institute's Mission Moment🌟
Michelle was fierce, funny, generous—and always an advocate. She stood up for the people she loved, expected the best from them, and gave her best in return. If she was in your corner, you knew you were never alone.
Jason met Michelle when they were just 11 years old on the playground. They connected immediately, drawn to each other in a way neither of them could explain. She became his safe place and lifelong love. Every Christmas, Michelle would gift Jason a datebook filled with pre-planned staycations and tiny home getaways. There were no distractions on those trips, just the two of them talking about anything and everything.
To their daughter Brianna, Michelle was both cheerleader and guide. She gave tough love with a full heart—like during a college softball game when Briana, shaking at bat, saw her mom give her a special family sign of love and confidence. She hit a home run. Michelle celebrated like she always did: all in.
Michelle was a beloved special education teacher, who fiercely protected and uplifted her students. She made care kits for the homeless and gave selflessly to anyone in need. She started a school food pantry; Brianna carries that legacy forward today.
She even changed Jason’s mind about organ, eye, and tissue donation. “What if one of our kids needed help?” she asked. That was all it took.
Because of her, two people can now see, and many lives transformed through tissue donation. 💙💚
When asked how Michelle should be remembered, Jason and Brianna smile: “An amazing woman—strong, loyal, and always fighting for what’s right.” She gave everything she had to others. Her legacy lives on through the people she fought for, the lives she touches—and the world her eyes still see.
