Join us on May 14th to personally address the University of Washington's Board of Regents to call on them to shut down the school's National Primate Research Center. This is a great opportunity to speak directly to decision makers. We are hoping to arrive in numbers to show how much our community cares about ending the torture primates face on their campus.

Last week, Justify hosted an insightful panel with former animal lab workers. They openly shared their experiences with moral distress and the emotional invalidation they felt in an environment where harm is normalized. Lab workers also shared that they were completely unaware that non-animal based models were even an option in scientific advancement. Conversations like these are super crucial for change and showcase that animals are not the only ones that suffer for animal research and we need to prioritize ethical, non-animal based research.

Lawmakers are making decisions this week and our legislators need to hear from us. Contact them and urge them to vote NO on the Farm Bill. There has been thousands of emails sent and we need to continue to rally, our voices matter. We’re asking that you reach out to your representatives TODAY, asking them to oppose changes to the Farm Bill. If you’ve always wanted to make a difference for the animals, this is a great way to do so.

To conclude World Lab Animal Liberation Week, we are sharing how financially costly it is to use animals for experimentations in labs.
We can instead invest in non-animal based models, so animals do not have to be subject to a life of cruelty, confinement, and invasiveness.
