"For too long DEI and racial equity work hasn’t employed an explicit anti-colonial and anti-imperial lens.

This means we have to talk about colonization and power –our personal power as individuals and the power residing within our organizations, big and small, nonprofit and for profit. How can we best leverage it to embed an anti-colonial approach in our work?

TOPICS WE’LL BE COVERING:

What exactly is colonialism and imperialism + different types of colonization
How our organizations uphold and exacerbate colonial power structures
Why adding an anti-colonial / anti-imperial perspective to your DEI and racial equity work is a necessity"
