West Hill Community Association Collaboratively building a more equitable, informed, engaged, and vibrant Skyway-West Hill.

WHCA is committed to creating a more equitable, engaged, informed, and vibrant Skyway-West Hill community. We are always looking for ways to improve our area and connect with our neighbors - from showcasing the enormous talent and dedication of those who join our West Hill Action Mob (WHAM) community action parties to watching in amazement as local families fill up a parking lot for our annual Skyway Outdoor Cinema - we love this place. We know you do too, so we'll do our best to keep you up to date with all of the latest news that affects you and ways for you to get involved! We acknowledge that the community we serve resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Salish people and the importance of including Indigenous voices and experiences in equity-driven decision making and actions.

The dream of a Skyway Community Center has come a long way, and on Saturday, October 10, we celebrated that progress and the folks who helped it along the way - as well as the treasured memories of Skyway Park Bowl which will be knocked down to make way for the new building. Community feedback is still being gathered, and you can get on the email list by visiting the project page on KingCounty.gov.

Half of families in Washington can get free money for college or training

The 2027-28 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid) are now OPEN!

Every senior planning to attend college, trade school, or a career program after high school should complete one of these applications. Completing financial aid applications opens doors to higher education and living-wage careers.

• Most students should complete a FAFSA to get the most money available.
• WASFA is a state financial aid application that should be submitted by students ineligible to apply for FAFSA due to citizenship or immigration status.

The earlier you apply the better! Some aid is first come, first served.
