A huge thank you to all that supported our Alumni Night Fundraiser, we raised over $2,000! These donations help us offer dance scholarships and free on-stage opportunities to dancers throughout the Puget Sound area.

And thank you for the fabulous space to host our event!

Sophia is our 2025 recipient of the Ms. Lea’s Heart of Dance Scholarship! She studies ballet at and plans to use her scholarship to attend Boston Ballet School’s summer intensive 🩰 With dreams of dancing professionally and helping dancers as a physical therapist, she is just getting started. We couldn’t be more proud of her dedication!

We are excited to announce the 2026 auditions for our winter ballet, The Magical Doll Maker! We welcome dancers from all backgrounds and can’t wait to see you there.

A beautiful performance by our dancers at Dance Festival Northwest. They each dance at different studios across the Puget Sound region, first meeting last year after being cast in our winter production of The Magical Dollmaker. It has been a joy to see their artistry and friendship grow!

We are getting ready for Dance Festival Northwest with guest teacher Ms. Christin! She’s helping refine and elongate our movements for when we step on stage in just a couple of weeks.

And finally, reintroducing our incredible board president Allison!!
Allison (she/her) Began studying ballet when she was 5 years old. She danced with SCDT 1995-2016. Nearly thirty years later and she still loves being in the studio. Along with dancing, she grew up assisting in pre-ballet classes, running rehearsals, and organizing performances. After graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in communications in 2011, she began teaching preschool. Currently, Allison works as a nanny in Magnolia. It brings her such joy to work with children every day and pass along her love for dance. She is so excited to lead Seattle Civic Dance Theatre in fostering a love of dance in the next generation.

Reintroducing our board member Addy!
Addy (she/her) studied dance in her youth and was a Concert Dancer with SCDT from 2010-2012. Her love of the performing arts continued through college where she costumed many shows at the Regional Theatre of the Palouse. She studied apparel, merchandising, design and textiles at Washington State University. Upon graduation she moved to Los Angeles where she works in the fashion industry.

Addy feels lucky to be able to give back to her dance community that supported her growing up. She is providing website support, email correspondence and volunteering as best she can from afar. She is excited to be working with her fellow concert dancers again. Each board member and volunteer is a leader of their own. Addy knows the initiative, kindness and creativity across the board is a direct result of getting the opportunity to dance and perform as kids. She is looking forward to setting the stage for other young dancers to become their own leaders as well.
