Join other WSHS parents and our school social worker, Crissa Parsley, on Oct 8th from 5-6pm to officially kick off the WSHS P2P group just before Curriculum Night. They will discuss what the group hopes to get out of their time together this year, hopes for their kids this school year, propose topics that everyone would like to discuss, and set the schedule for the remainder of the year.

This is your chance to get a glimpse into what and with whom your student is learning while at WSHS this school year. Along with visiting classes, there will be other support staff and some of the community organizations at tables in the commons. Counselors will be available in the library. It's going to be a great night!

First Period starts at 6:30 p.m. Bring a copy of your student's schedule with you! You can see your student's current schedule on the The Source. We will have limited ability to print student schedules at the event.

As you know, West Seattle High School has recently implemented new safety/traffic mitigation measures in the main parking lot. These changes are made in alignment with the recommendations made by the Washington Department of Transportation to keep the parking lot from devolving into vehicular mayhem, which puts student safety at risk. The missing piece of the process, however, is personnel! The school needs volunteers to help direct traffic in the mornings and afternoons. We don’t want administrative staff directing traffic, sacrificing the time that they need to work on IEPs and other important management tasks. If you can help out in any capacity, even if it’s just part of the week, reach out to Assistant Principle Knight. You can reach out to Mr. Knight via email: [email protected]
