States' 4-H International Exchange Programs "Enhancing world understanding and global citizenship through high-quality 4-H international cultural immersion and exchange programs."

States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs (S4-H) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Seattle, WA. We work with 4-H Youth Development Centers of Cooperative Extension in the US and international partners around the world to conduct cultural immersion and exchange programs. Since 1972, our exchanges have impacted nearly 50,000 youth and their families in 24 countries on 6 continents! S4-H is governed by a Board of Directors composed of 4-H Extension professional from across the US. The 4-H National Headquarters at NIFA has authorized S4-H to use the 4-H name and emblem. S4-H is granted full listing by the Council for Standards on International Educational Travel (CSIET) and is designated by the US Department of State as a sponsor of J-1 Secondary Student exchange programs.

Final call for the 2026 States’ 4-H Outbound Photo/Essay Competition!

A huge thank you to our outbound delegates for being such amazing global ambassadors this summer. We can’t wait to see more of your memories through this year’s contest.
