Candide Quartet, winners of the 2026 National Frances Walton Competition, has a big week coming up in the PNW in September! Catch them at one of these performances:

👉Fri, Sept 11 @ 7:00 pm - Live on Classical KING 98.1 FM (Seattle, WA). Tune in on the radio, online, or via the Classical KING app. Free.

👉Sat, Sept 12 @ 6:00 pm - LMC and Cascadia Art Museum present Candide Quartet at Cascadia Art Museum (Edmonds, WA). Doors at 5:15 pm for early museum viewing. Tickets not yet on sale, check back closer to the date.

👉Sun, Sept 13 @ 2:00 pm - LMC presents Candide Quartet at Village Green Community Center (Kingston, WA). Doors at 1:30 pm. Free, advance reservations recommended.

👉Wed, Sept 16 @ 7:00 pm - LMC presents Candide Quartet at The Chapel at Good Shepherd Center (Seattle, WA). Doors at 6:30 pm. Free, advance reservations recommended.

Formed in 2023, the Candide Quartet consists of violinists Chili Ekman and Henry Rogers, cellist Vanny Hu and violist Amelia Krinke.

A few weeks ago, sopranos Clarice Alfonso and Susan Payne O’Brien, along with Rhonda Kline, performed a special summer concert at the Seattle Arts Museum titled “What Time Is It Anyway? Across a Day in American Song.” And it was beautiful! Best of all, the whole performance is now available on our YouTube channel. So make sure to check it out!
