The Beacon Ave S Safety Projects will make the street safer and easier for everyone to use—whether you walk, bike, roll, take the bus, or drive. These projects extend the recently completed Beacon Ave S and 15th Ave S Safety Project southward along Beacon Ave S in two areas: from S Spokane St to S Myrtle St (Central Segment), and from S Myrtle St to 39th Ave S (South Segment).

We want to hear from you about what it’s like to travel on Beacon Ave S now and how we can improve street safety. This feedback will help inform our designs and help make the street safer for everyone. All questions are optional.

Free "Guiding Good Choices" Workshop Series Starting Oct 7th.

Parenting is no easy task. Learn some tips and tricks to increase family bonds, help your child make healthy choices, and reduce tensions and conflicts that happen in all families as kids get older.
Sign up today for the Free "Guiding Good Choices" workshop series. It will be held in person on Wednesday evenings 6-8pm at Odessa Brown Children's Clinic on Othello (3939 S Othello St, Seattle, WA 98118).

Open to all families with kids ages 7-14. October 7th - Nov 18th. Free dinner and childcare provided. $50 giftcard for parents who successfully complete the series.

Registering as a member of the PTSA ensures you get our email communications promptly. As your Parent-Teacher-Student-Association (PTSA), we are the village building a stronger community at Asa Mercer International Middle School. We advocate for every student, and we want our association to reflect the rich diversity of our families.

Sign up today to join our email list. We also need 25 paid members to be in good standing with the WA State PTA and National PTA, which helps us maintain our nonprofit status and gives us resources to run our organization. If you join the State & National PTAs, you join organizations that support advocacy and lobbying on behalf of all students and you'll receive an electronic membership card that can be used to redeem various discounts (WA State PTA Discounts & National PTA Discounts). WA State PTSA Members can get discounted tickets to the Washington State Fair for entrance, rides and concerts. LEARN MORE HERE!

If you're in the position to be a paid member, your fee goes toward providing necessary resources that make Mercer strong. And if you have a partner, spouse, or friend in the Mercer community who would also like to join, all the better!

Advocacy Alert- Sign the Petition: Allow SPS Teachers to Attend Graduations!
Seattle Public Schools scheduled 2pm downtown graduations for Franklin, Roosevelt, and Garfield — then CANCELED early release, forcing teachers to stay on campus during ceremonies.
This is wrong.
Teachers mentor, support, and pour their hearts into our students. They deserve to be there when those students walk across the stage.
SIGN THE PETITION to ask SPS:
Reinstate early release,
or Arrange Central Office staff to cover classrooms,
or Find solutions so teachers can attend 2pm ceremonies.
Our graduates deserve to see the teachers who helped get them there. Our teachers deserve to celebrate with their students.
