πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone! While I'm quietly running the page, I'm always brainstorming. So I may not post often like other pages do, which does limit the reach we have, but I prefer posting when I have something to say rather than daily.

Unfortunately, I was never quite able to get all the ducks in a row to do anything for the kids' birthdays this summer. I never quite got beyond research stage.

That means like last year, the only event will be the toy drive for the holidays. We'll likely start collecting in early October and finish December 4th. This will allow us to donate everything on December 11th.

When Prime Day rolls around, I'll post the toy drive link, as there are always great toy deals during Prime Days!

The weather is iffy, so please stay safe out there! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please message the page. I'll respond as soon as possible. I'm grateful for those of you who follow this page, and help us keep their memory alive.

With love and gratitude,

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone! I hope you had a safe and happy Valentine's Day!

Ours was low-key, just as we prefer. Honestly, in 19 years of marriage, this was the first time we actually did anything for this particular holiday, so it was special, even if we didn't do much by most people's standards.

Wayne really wanted to treat me to something I'd enjoy, so we drove to our absolute favorite candy shop, JB Crunch! He bought me apple pie taffy and a box of the mini Dubai chocolates, as they're a personal favorite of mine.

His gift? I bought a beautiful collage frame and filled it with some of our favorite photos of us and the kids. As it's a larger frame, he's still deciding on where to hang it, but he really loved it.

How did you spend your Valentine's Day? Just for fun, have you ever had Dubai chocolate? Do you enjoy it? What's your favorite candy?

Have a wonderful week, and be safe!

With love and gratitude,

The Glasgow family πŸ’šπŸ’œ

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone! I hope you're faring well in all this ridiculous weather!!!!

We're making out fine, though Wayne has had little work with so much snow and ice out there right now. But it'll be fine, and eventually winter must end. Just not quickly enough to make me happy.

I'm looking forward to warmer days, sunshine, and days spent relaxing on my front porch. But for now, I'm hunkering down inside, reading, watching tv shows and movies, cooking warm and comforting foods, and crocheting.

There's still plans in the early stages for honoring the childrens' birthdays this summer, and I'll update you all as it unfolds.

I decided to hopefully spread a smile with this quick little video of the kids enjoying the snow in 2016. Hope always got a kick out of Nathan falling over as a little guy!

Stay safe out there, and may you be warm!

With love and gratitude,

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone, and welcome to our 200+ new followers! I'm grateful you've joined us here.

While our hearts hurt and we miss our beautiful children with every breath, I try very hard to keep the page from being something dark and depressing. Instead I try to focus on making sure they are remembered with love and joy, and bring happiness in the community that I'm so glad we're a part of.

Every year starting in late September or early October I kick off the yearly toy drive. We've raised over 2000 toys to date thanks to all your generosity.

This year, I'm considering an event in the summer for the kids' birthdays, though if that comes about, I'll post more about it down the road.

I'm trying with the idea of an auction to raise money for the toy drive, though I'm unsure if that'll be something worth pursuing as yet.

The first year of the toy drive, I didn't count donations- it never occurred to me to do so until after we donated them all. But the previous 3 years, we've raised 1862 toys! I'm looking forward to continuing that tradition this year as well.

I run this page on my own in their memory, so I may not respond to messages or comments immediately, but I will do my best to respond to you as soon as I'm able to. You can feel free to message the page any time with questions, suggestions, or concerns.

With love and gratitude,

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone. January 6th will be 4 years since the crash that took our children from us. These photos are the last we have of them, taken between 1/3/2022 and 1/5/2022. They had so much fun playing in the snow, something we spent a lot of time doing on the 3rd and 4th that year. On the 4th, our puppy, Mia, turned 1 and they loved spending time in the snow with her and celebrating her first birthday. The last two photos were taken the night before the crash.

The photo of Hope was taken as she laughed at me. I'd been making Wayne's sandwich for lunch the next day, and I dropped a slice of turkey on the floor. Apparently my expression was hilarious in her opinion because she couldn't stop laughing, and I couldn't resist the urge to take a picture of that moment.

The photo of Nathan was taken as I tucked him in for the night. I gave him his bath, brushed his teeth and hair, gave him his sippy cup of hot chocolate, and tucked him in with his favorite stuffies. He looked so sweet and comfy that I had to take a photo of him.

Needless to say, it's a very difficult time for us right now, so the page will be quiet for a bit.

Running this page in their honor, keeping their memory alive, it's a blessing. Your support means a lot to us, and we thank you for being a part of our journey.

Please, when out of the roads today and every day, make good choices. Stay safe, one and all.

With love and gratitude,

πŸ’œπŸ’š Wishing you all a safe and Merry Christmas! Please make good choices, and be extra watchful as attentions may be scattered during the holiday season and patience is often short.

Thank you so much for following our journey and supporting our efforts to ensure our children are never forgotten.

πŸ’œπŸ’š Toy drive update!

Good morning, everyone. It's finally here, the day I announce totals for this year!

Now, I will admit, this season started off rough. Posts weren't being seen, almost nothing was being seen, really. Fortunately, it all changed up at the last minute, and that's how we ended up with...

544 toys!

We can't thank you enough for all the support. Knowing we're bringing joy to children each holiday season helps me personally. It makes the grief just a touch easier to live with each year.

Thank you to Callaway, Farnell and Moore Real Estate. Without your support each year, we wouldn't be half as successful with toy collections. And a huge thanks to Lindsey for being such a huge help organizing each year, and Bobby for bringing his truck and trailer again this year for hauling everything to The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel.

Thank you to Drive-Thru Christmas on Merry Lane/ Mid-Atlantic Services A-Team Corp for their continued support with the Stuff the Sleigh event they held again this year. It's absolutely amazing to me how many toys you're able to collect in only 4 nights! A huge thank you to Jamie and Heather- you ladies are the best!!!!

Thank you so much to Woodland Community Church for your donations. We were able to help a lot of children thanks to your generosity. We can't thank you enough!

Thank you to St. John's United Methodist Church -Seaford for seeing and supporting our efforts. We truly appreciate you!

And last but absolutely not least, thank you so much to the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. Your surprise donations truly brought a smile to my face this weekend. We're grateful to you and the ladies auxiliary for helping out. Please, stay safe out there!

To every one of you, whether you liked, shared, donated, or just read posts you happened to see: Thank you! The more interactions with our posts, the more they're seen, and the more children we can make happy each year. Thank you for helping us honor our children's memory with these efforts each holiday season.

Have a wonderful holiday season, make good choices, and stay safe!

With love and gratitude,

The Glasgow family πŸ’šπŸ’œ

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone! Today I'll be picking up the last of the toys, and taking them directly to The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel. Tomorrow I'll post the final totals, so if you have any more guesses (just for fun), now's the time!

I wanted to take a moment and thank every single one of you. The other day, while Wayne and I were on our date day, the page officially hit 1000 followers! I can’t express how thankful I am, having so many people who are invested in our efforts to keep Hope and Nathan's memories alive.

I'm trying to figure out specifically where we go from here. I'm considering an event this summer for the kids' birthdays. I have a couple ideas, but things are still in the planning stage.

I'm also considering an auction to raise funds that would be used to buy toys for the toy drive. I have 4 blankets I've crocheted that I could auction and use the money to buy toys, and I'm currently working on a 5th blanket.

In the meantime, I'll keep playing around, trying to figure out Facebook's tricks to being seen. Our posts are seen by maybe 150 people on average, which is sad with so many followers. But I'm sure I can figure something out!

Thank you, every single one of you, for being a part of our journey. For sharing our posts. For liking our page. Most importantly, thank you for helping us help families in need in memory of our children.

With love and gratitude,

The Glasgow family πŸ’šπŸ’œ

πŸ’œπŸ’š Good morning, everyone! Thank you for the comments and messages wishing us well as we belatedly celebrated our anniversary yesterday. It was a really great day, filled with so much laughter. It was wonderful to spend some real time together with how hard Wayne's been working.

We started our day by picking out some candy at JB Crunch. We had a blast looking at each item, and left with a ridiculous amount of candy for two grownups. 🀣

Next we wandered Salisbury a bit. We went to Walmart, then (what's left of) the Salisbury Mall, Petsmart, Target, and then all the way to the Seaford Walmart with one goal- an ugly Christmas sweater! Instead, I ended up with a real neat one with Stitch on it, so cute instead of ugly.

We next went to finally see the lights at Drive-Thru Christmas on Merry Lane. If you haven't made it yet, you still have a bit of time left. I highly recommend you take a few minutes out of your evening during their business hours and check out how beautiful (and well organized!) everything is.

We finished with dinner at Smash N' Dash Burgery, where our eyes were bigger than our stomachs so neither of us finished our dinners. We did, however, finish our ridiculously delicious milkshakes.

It was a nice interlude, spending so much time together while he caused mayhem in each store. Just enough to keep me laughing, never enough to get asked to leave. 🀣

Now with snow coming down, we're tucked up at home with no plans to leave today. Whatever you're doing with your day, enjoy it! If you have to be out on the roads, give yourself extra time and be safe!

With love and gratitude,

The Glasgow family πŸ’šπŸ’œ

πŸ’œπŸ’š "But wait, there's more!"

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday, as promised, all the toys we had here on hand were delivered to The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel. Normally, that would be the end of the story until next year, but I received a phone call yesterday about more toys on the way! The last of the toys for the year will be picked up Tuesday morning and taken to The Salvation Army immediately after.

So while I had planned on releasing full totals today, I won't have accurate totals until Tuesday. You can expect a full accounting, as well as photos, on Wednesday morning!

In the meantime, the first two photos are of every donation boxed and bagged and ready to go. The final photo is the system they have set up at The Salvation Army. It astounds me each year, seeing the efficient way everything gets done there!

Wayne and I are taking a long overdue 'date day' today, celebrating our anniversary from last month. When you get married on Black Friday like we did 19 years ago, you realize quickly that celebrating your anniversary is difficult to plan!

Take care, and stay safe out there!

A HUGE thank you to the amazing team at Drive-Thru Christmas on Merry Lane! I was so thankful when I arrived to pick up the toy donations collected during last weekend's light display.

I won't be posting totals until Saturday after we drop off the collected toys to The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel, but the second photo shows you how many boxes and bags full of toys we've collected this season, and more are still arriving!

Just for fun, how many toys do you think we've collected this year?

Stay safe out there!

With love and gratitude,

The Glasgow family πŸ’šπŸ’œ
