💜💚 Good morning! Tomorrow marks only 6 weeks left in this season's toy drive for The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel! Time really flies, it's so hard to believe.

There are 76 toys here so far, and we're grateful for every donation. Each toy is a smile on a child's face!!!!

Remember, if you want to make in-person donations, you can drop off your donations during normal business hours at Callaway, Farnell and Moore Real Estate. You can also contact me if you wish to bring donations directly to me.

And please mark your calendars for those who wish to donate at this season's light display at Drive-Thru Christmas on Merry Lane. They work so hard each year to put on a wonderful show, and I highly recommend you check it out!

💜💚 Good morning, everyone! We're up to 74 toys and counting, and we're so thankful! You're all the best.

And if you're new to the page, if you send a note on the gift receipt, I save all of them. I have a pouch where I've been collecting them since the very first toy drive. I love rereading those notes on the hard days, so an extra thank you!

We're running very low on medium to large size boxes for collecting the toys for distribution. We have some massive boxes, but those are only good for stuffed animals as they're way too heavy when loaded down. Does anyone have any boxes in that medium-large category they may be able to get to me? Any are appreciated, because I can always store them for next year of we have too many! Please message the page if you're able to help.

💜💚 5th annual TOY DRIVE KICK-OFF!

Good morning, everyone. The day is finally here! Though we've had donations off and on throughout the year, and have 56 toys here already, today is the official start of this year's toy drive.

At the top of the list on the right side are three dots that bring up a menu where you can sort by price and priority. Toys start at just $2.50 on the list!

You can donate in person as well, either by reaching out to me through the page if you wish to bring any donations to me directly, or you can donate at Callaway, Farnell and Moore Real Estate as well. They've been kind enough to offer to be a donation location again this year! Please give their page and follow.

Also, we're blessed that Drive-Thru Christmas on Merry Lane is collecting for us again, December 3 through December 6. If you love light shows, you couldn't do better than bringing your family to see their amazing display. We look forward to going each year and seeing what's new. Please also follow their page for more information, and see all the amazing groups they're collecting for this season.

This year's toy drive runs from today through Friday, December 4. The toys will be counted as they come in, and will be dropped off to The Salvation Army, Seaford Sussex Chapel on Friday, December 11 for distribution to families in need.

This brings joy, bittersweet, every year, and this year being the 5th brings that more so. But I'm so thankful, so grateful, for such a wonderful community. We couldn't do it without you. Every like, every share, every time you invite someone to follow our page, you help us honor our children, and you help us help children have a bright holiday season.

Over the years of doing this, we've collected more than 2000 toys for children in our local community. That's thanks to the generosity of you all.

While I mistakenly didn't keep track of donations the first year, here's the breakdown of totals for the past 3 years.

💜💚 Good morning, everyone, and a huge thank you to everyone one of you. The toy drive officially kicks off three weeks from tomorrow, and yet we already have 55 toys thanks to your support!

With this being our 5th year doing the toy drive, I was truly hoping this might be the best one yet, and it's looking like that just may be the case.

I know not everyone online shops, so when we really get things going, there will be at least one physical drop-off location.

You can also message the page if you'd like to drop toy donations off to me in person. All that information will be posted on the official kickoff day, October 2nd. I'll also have it pinned to the top of the page when the toy drive starts.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to message the pate anytime, and I'll respond as quickly as I can.

💜💚 Good morning, everyone!!!! First, I'd like to say that we were blessed to have a wonderful person drop off a check for the toy drive last week. That kindness meant so much to Wayne and I, and it helps us help so many children.

With that additional donation to the toy drive fund, that brought the total to $365!!! I was super excited to go on Amazon this morning and order the toys to add to what we've collected so far.

I'm beyond thrilled to say that once these toys are delivered, we'll have 54 toys here for the toy drive,which is wonderful since we don't officially kick it off until October 2 this year. 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you, everyone. Thank you for your kindness, your likes, your shares, your donations. Those who send messages with the toy donations? I save every one of them, and have since the very beginning. 💜💚 Good morning, everyone! I'm excited to share with you that the auction for the blankets raised $265 for this year's toy drive!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

In the next week or so, I'll order toys for the toy drive and update totals. Even though the toy drive doesn't officially kick off until October 2nd, we already have 29 toys collected! Fingers crossed that this 5th year of toy collection is our biggest and best ever!!!

I'll keep you all updated as things go along. Thank you all for every like, share, and donation that helps us put smiles on children's faces each year. You are so very appreciated.

💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

Good morning, everyone. Today, Nathan would be 11. Wow, that's just... mind blowing to me.

Nathan loved cars and trucks, playing in his sandbox, and collecting rocks and flowers to bring to us. He loved playing Roblox with Hope, learning games on his tablet, and he absolutely loved rainbows.

Nathan spent a large chunk of his time nonverbal, so there was speech therapy, sign language, occupational therapy, and behavioral therapy as well. For years he refused solid foods and lived on chocolate Pediasure, the only flavor he'd drink.

One day, he just started eating, and that was that. Then his favorite drink became hot chocolate. He also enjoyed weekly trips to run errands and we'd always stop for protein shakes.

We squeezed a lot of life and love and laughter into 6 short years, and I'm grateful for every single one of those memories.

Happy birthday, little dinosaur. Mommy and Daddy love and miss you and Hopie both.

In honor of our little guy, do something positive today. Hold the door for a stranger, pay someone a compliment, tip your server generously. And if you see a pretty rock today that catches your eye? Pick it up and smile.

Bonus post! 💜💚

Last night Wayne and I went for our first date night in quite some time, but I've been following The Atomic on Facebook for a bit and was eager to try it. I cannot recommend them enough!

We started with the brisket quesadillas, and the flavor was outstanding. I could definitely make that a meal all by itself. Then I had the Atomic burger with chorizo mac and cheese, and it's definitely a flavor bomb. Wayne got the Woodlands burger with the best potato salad I've ever had. As a bonus, I couldn't resist bringing home their bread pudding with Martha's Ice Cream Seaford.

If you haven't checked them out yet, you definitely should. The staff was all so kind and attentive as well. I'm looking forward to going back.
