Tuesday Thoughts

Tragedies are a part of life. Some are preventable while others are beyond our control. For those unpreventable moments we need a Savior who is able to keep us from falling. If you feel like all hope is lost or feel like you can’t take another step, remember God promised to never leave you. You are not alone!!

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Wednesday Word

Jesus never shied away from the cross. He knew that was his destiny. His purpose came from the Father. Because he had divine purpose he also received divine help. Sometimes our destiny leads us into painful sacrifice. But remember the One who sent us will also sustain us.

Never confuse God’s favor with God’s approval. The Bible says God does not show favoritism. It’s better to walk in integrity and live according to God’s word than to think you can trick God into blessing you.

Who we keep company with makes a difference. The Bible warns us about hanging with the wrong crowd because it robs us of our blessings. Sometimes all it takes for you to experience God’s blessings is a change of company.

Friday Faith

God is not looking for perfection, he’s looking for faithfulness. Will you continue to walk with him during seasons of uncertainty? Do you pray only when things are bad or do consistently talk to Him when times are good and bad? Life may change but God’s love for us doesn’t. Remain faithful to God and enjoy God’s blessings.

Jesus told the disciples that if people didn’t want to welcome them to shake the dust from their feet and move on. It’s important to know when to move on from people. God calls us to peace. You don’t have to remain around miserable people.

Tuesday Thoughts

Praying for God’s will to be done is easier to say but harder to accept. Accepting God’s will for your life will be costly, but that doesn’t mean it will not be beneficial. God’s will cost Jesus his life but it also led to his exaltation to being Lord over all (See Philippians 2:5-10). What we let go for God cannot be compared to what we will receive from God.

“Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
