Welcome to the club Seth. Yellow lab male Seth transfered to our club on 9/26/26 to be raised by Julia and Ben. He received a great start in the Paulsbo, WA club. Seth was born 2/27/26 to parents Wyoming and Kimmel.

Discover's September Pupdate:

Discover and I have only been working together for a short time, but it didn't take long to see just how much joy he brings to everyone around him. He approaches each day with enthusiasm and a willingness to do whatever is asked of him, always eager to learn and participate. I often find myself calling him “Disco” or “Disco-Dog,” nicknames that perfectly match his fun-loving personality. Over the past few weeks, we've been exploring new and exciting experiences together, including learning to ride escalators and practicing how to stay safe around traffic. Discover took to escalators almost immediately and handled the challenge with confidence. His positive attitude and eagerness to work make him a pleasure to work with each day.

Discover moves to community placement! Discover decided guiding wasn't quite what he expected and he is going to work towards being a different kind of service dog with Dogs for Better Lives. We're excited to track his progress with this partner service dog school.

PD: Male yellow lab, Discover, is sitting next to a blue sandwich board sign congratulating him on his community placement with Dogs for Better Lives.

August 2026 Pupdate for Discover

Discover has been studying and working hard to learn what it takes to be a guide dog! He is such a fun dog to work with; he has a wonderful, eager-to-please attitude and is so proud when he masters a new skill. Discover is enjoying time relaxing in foster care this month as well, soaking up plenty of sunshine and affection from his foster care provider. We're excited to continue watching this sweet boy discover more about the guide dog life!
PD. First photo: A photo of Discover, a yellow Labrador retriever, laying on cement and looking up at his handler with a soft, focused expression on his face. Second photo: A photo of Discover, a yellow Labrador retriever, partaking in one of his favorite past-times; he is looking down at a pink kiddie pool and using his paws to dig plastic jolly egg toys out of the pool.

August 2026 Pupdate for Fendi

Fendi is such a sweet girl. She loves playing with her friends during community run, and she lights up whenever there's a toy to play with. She's smart, sweet, and always ready for fun. She enjoys her kibble and truly embodies the very good girl she is.
PD: First photo: Fendi sits poised in her guide dog harness, facing the camera. She's settled on a stretch of red brick along a Portland street, and the scene behind her has trees with string lights, distant buildings, and pedestrians. Second photo: Fendi sits in community run with a happy smile on her face, and in the distance there are four bones in the background.

June 2026 Pupdate for Kershaw

Happy spring from Kershaw! This sweet boy greets every day with enthusiasm and joy. He is adorable during breakoffs, wagging his whole body as he holds his toys in his mouth. During guidework, he loves speeding down blocks and targeting objects for his handler. I feel lucky to get to work with such a happy-go-lucky, hardworking boy.

PD: First photo:A photo of Kershaw, a black Labrador retriever, laying down while wearing his harness and booties on his back feet. He is posing on a sunny sky bridge in a Portland mall and looking at the camera with an open-mouthed smile. Second photo: Kershaw, a black Labrador retriever, is laying on cement in community run while holding a large, black rubber toy between his front paws. He is looking off to the side and the tip of his tongue is sticking out of his mouth.
