Your vote is the leverage we need
As our Mobilization Team makes the final push toward a historic 100% participation goal, we know some of you might still be holding onto your ballot because of concerns about potential repercussions from management if you cast your vote or confusion about what this vote actually means.
❌ What this vote is NOT:
We are NOT voting on a new contract. This is NOT a vote to accept or reject a final agreement.
We are NOT striking at the conclusion of this vote. This vote does NOT mean we are walking off the job or stopping work now.
✅ What this vote ACTUALLY is:
We are voting for leverage. Management is clearly not going to give us what we need out of generosity; they have to be forced to give it to us.
We are voting to ensure we stand strong and UNIFIED at the Negotiating table. We are still in active negotiations. It shows we are UNITED in demanding a contract with the living wage we deserve, the work rule improvements we require, and the benefit enhancements and protections we must have.
We are setting up for "Chaos" when legally able and strategically planned. This vote draws a line in the sand. It tells management that if they refuse to value our work, we have the collective will to legally disrupt business down the road. Think of it as contract insurance. You don’t buy insurance because you want to get into an accident; you buy it so you are protected if things get rough.
Voting "FOR" doesn't mean we want a strike, it means we want management to know we are 100% serious and are standing up for ourselves.
In fact, a strong "FOR" vote is often the very thing that prevents a strike, because it forces management to take us seriously before things escalate.
Every single uncast ballot shrinks our power at the table. To get the contract we deserve, management needs to see a wall of solidarity they cannot break.
Please don't let confusion or fear keep you on the sidelines. Management does not know who has voted or how you individually have voted.
