After 13 years of dedicated service to Sunrise Middle School, we would like to congratulate Laura O’Connell on her retirement! ❤️💛

As SRMS Records Secretary, Laura played an essential role in supporting students, families, and staff each and every day. From managing attendance and helping families navigate questions and daily needs to supporting the many behind-the-scenes details that keep a school running smoothly, Laura was always dependable, caring, and incredibly helpful.

For many students, families, staff members, and visitors, Laura was the first person they saw when walking into Sunrise Middle School. Her friendly presence, patience, kindness, and willingness to help made a lasting impact on our school community.

Thank you, Laura, for your years of hard work, dedication, care, and service to SRMS. You will be greatly missed, and we are so grateful for everything you have done for Sunrise over the past 13 years.

Please join us in wishing Laura a joyful and well-deserved retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and exciting new adventures ahead! ☀️

As we close out the 2025–26 school year, we want to thank the incredible SRMS families, staff, students, volunteers, donors, and community partners who helped make this year so special. ❤️💛

Together, we:
• Supported approximately 400 students and 50 staff members
• Raised more than $28,000 to support programs, activities, staff appreciation, student enrichment, teacher grants, and school initiatives
• Invested more than $17,000 directly back into our school community
• Hosted fundraisers, community events, appreciation programs, and campus support activities throughout the year

None of this would have been possible without the support, generosity, encouragement, and involvement of our SRMS community.

Thank you for helping us continue to strengthen and support Sunrise Middle School.

Today, we celebrated the incredible SRMS staff with our End-of-Year Staff Appreciation Luncheon! ❤️💛

Thank you for your time, care, dedication, and the many ways you support and encourage students each day. We are truly grateful for everything you do for our school community.

Lunch was catered by Gourmade by Chrissy, and we are especially thankful to our generous luncheon donors and sponsors:
SRMS families, Sara Knauf, Kay Rowan, Sasha Thomas, Michael Valdez, Christy Welborn, and SRMS PTO.

We also loved recognizing our staff appreciation drawing winners during today’s celebration!
